Did you know Acorn has been working in local schools since 2001?
Our volunteer schools team delivers educational sessions to Year 10 students across Worthing and the surrounding area, including Angmering, Littlehampton, Shoreham and Steyning.
Each session introduces students to Acorn's work and explores topics surrounding relationships and unexpected pregnancy through film clips, discussion and interactive exercises.
One of the most popular activities is the Lifeline Game, where students place cards on a timeline to discover when different stages of development occur during pregnancy. The activity encourages participation, discussion and learning in an engaging way.
Our aim is not to tell students what to think, but to provide information and create opportunities for them to form and express their own opinions.
We are proud to have been supporting schools and young people in our community for over 20 years.
