Anxious frustration can quickly turn into overthinking, irritability and reacting in ways you later regret.
One of the most useful things you can practise is creating a pause between the feeling and the response.
You don’t have to suppress frustration or pretend you’re fine. You can learn to notice the reaction, regulate your body and choose what happens next.
Your brain learns through repetition, so practise the response you want before you’re completely overwhelmed.

From a therapist who has spent far too long thinks she’s ‘behind’ or ‘failing’ for not achieving some of things. Here is your reminder that these things are absolutely not failures.

If any of these points bring you anxious thoughts and feelings, your next step is to join ‘The Confidence Reset’ - link is in my bio 🔗

If you keep finding yourself overthinking, worrying, avoiding or checking, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re choosing to do it.

It may be a pattern your brain has learned through repetition.

The more familiar a response becomes, the more automatic it can feel.

And that’s why simply telling yourself “I need to stop doing this” isn’t always enough.

Changing a pattern means giving your brain opportunities to experience and practise a different response. 🧘🏽‍♀️

✨ Want to start changing the patterns that are holding you back? My Confidence RESET is designed to help you build confidence from the inside out.

Maybe luck has less to do with what happens to you… and more to do with what you do when the opportunity comes along.

We can’t control everything. But we can control the decisions we make, the chances we take, and whether anxiety gets to make those decisions for us.

Sometimes I think the best thing we can do is keep being willing to show up for ourselves. Through the good, the bad, the ugly.

So that when the opportunity of good does come along, all the preparation, persistence and effort was worth it ✨

Do you believe in luck?🍀

If you’re constantly worrying about what might happen, you might think you’re preparing yourself for life.

But sometimes, your brain isn’t preparing you, it’s rehearsing problems that haven’t happened yet.

The more you repeatedly predict, analyse and mentally rehearse the future, the more automatic that pattern can become.

And suddenly, switching off feels difficult because your brain has learned to stay one step ahead.

The goal isn’t to never worry.

It’s to stop spending so much of your life preparing for a future you haven’t even reached.

You don’t need to think through every possible outcome to be ready.

Sometimes, you just need to trust that when something arrives, you’ll be capable of handling it then.

Your brain is like an information machine… the more you input the more it recognises.

Is it time to upgrade the software and start giving yourself evidence that supports the life you want? Instead of clogging the hard drive with evidence that keeps you stuck…

You might not need a new personality to become more confident. You might need your brain to learn that being seen, making mistakes or taking up space isn’t automatically a threat.

If you’ve experienced criticism, rejection, embarrassment or situations where it didn’t feel safe to be yourself, your brain can learn to become more cautious.

You may start overthinking what to say.
Avoiding situations where you’ll be judged.
Seeking reassurance.
Waiting until you feel ready
or trying to get everything perfect before you let yourself be seen.

The problem is, avoidance can give you short-term relief while keeping the fear going.

Confidence isn’t necessarily about feeling no fear.
It’s about having enough experiences that teach your brain:
“I can feel uncomfortable and still be safe.”

That’s why confidence can grow through action, not just positive thinking.

You don’t have to become someone else.

You can teach your brain that being yourself doesn’t need to be dangerous

✨Are you waiting until you are confident or trying before you feel ready?
