Yes, I’m talking to you laser clients during this mini heatwave. Being all “Can I be completely covered in ice packs please?” ☀️🤣
Wondering why we need ice packs for laser?
Because when we do laser hair removal, we need enough energy (fluence) to properly damage and destroy those stubborn hair follicles, because weak settings and ‘painless’ laser = weak results
BUT… while we’re bringing the heat to the hair, we also need to keep your skin safe and comfortable.
That’s where the ice packs come in, helping cool and protect the skin, calm redness, and make the whole experience a lot more comfortable (because some areas can feel a little spicy 🌶️IYKYK).
So yes… the ice packs are nice in this weather, but trust me, they’ve got a very important job to play in your laser hair removal journey 😏🧊
