✨ We are pleased to introduce a new member of the REPROART team – Ukrainian Obstetrician-Gynaecologist and Reproductive Endocrinologist, Aliona Burmistrova.

🔎 With extensive international clinical experience across both reproductive medicine and obstetrics, Aliona has successfully managed a wide range of infertility cases and is distinguished by consistently high success rates in IVF treatment.

🎓 Aliona Burmistrova graduated in General Medicine from A.A. Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv, and later specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at P. L. Shupyk National Medical Academy. She has since continued to advance her expertise in reproductive medicine and holds an additional qualification in ultrasound diagnostics from Lviv State Medical University.

☑️ Prior to relocating to Georgia, she developed her advanced clinical expertise within leading Ukrainian institutions, including the Reproductive Genetics Clinic “Victoria,” the Dobrobut Medical Network, and Gomel City Clinical Hospital No. 3.

✔️ Aliona is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), actively participates in international conferences, and is committed to applying the latest evidence-based approaches in fertility care.

✨ We are proud to introduce the Scientific Director of REPROART - David H. McCulloh, PhD, Clinical Embryologist, Reproductive Scientist, and Laboratory Director.

🔎 With over four decades of experience in reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technologies (ART), Dr McCulloh is internationally recognised as a leading authority in embryology, IVF laboratory systems, and reproductive genetics. His work bridges fundamental science with clinical excellence, shaping both laboratory standards and patient outcomes.

🎓 Dr McCulloh earned his PhD in the Physiology of Fertilization from the University of Maryland and has conducted research at leading institutions including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), University of Miami, and Oregon Health Sciences University, focusing on the mechanisms of fertilisation and early embryonic development.

✔️ Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles at major IVF centres and academic institutions in the United States, including Hackensack University Medical Center, NYU Langone Fertility Center, and The Brooklyn Hospital Center. He has played a key role in developing high-complexity IVF laboratories, implementing quality systems, and advancing technologies such as PGT-A.

✔️ Dr McCulloh is a long-standing academic at New York University School of Medicine and an active member of the global scientific community, contributing to leading journals such as Human Reproduction and Fertility and Sterility, as well as major reference textbooks in the field.

✨ We are proud to introduce the Founder and Director of REPROART - Lika Chkonia, MSc, Clinical Embryologist and Reproductive Science Leader.

🔎 With over three decades of experience, Lika Chkonia is one of the pioneers of reproductive medicine in Georgia and the country’s first embryologist. Her work has played a defining role in establishing and advancing assisted reproductive technologies (ART) at a national level.

🎓 Lika began her career in biophysics at Tbilisi State University and later expanded her expertise internationally, training and working in the United States at leading institutions including the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, home of the first IVF birth in the U.S. and Mount Sinai Medical Center.

☑️ She has introduced numerous “firsts” in Georgia, including the first ICSI procedure and birth, the first successful microsurgical s***m retrieval (micro-TESE), the first vitrified blastocyst birth, and the first implementation of PGT-A.

✔️ In 2012, she founded REPROART, which has grown into a leading network of fertility clinics across Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kutaisi. In 2020, she also established Genomics, a dedicated center for reproductive genetics, further advancing precision medicine in fertility care.

🌍 Lika is an active member of the international scientific community and has held leadership roles within ESHRE, including Chair of the SIG Global and Socio-Cultural Aspects of Infertility (2022–2024). She also plays an important role in shaping reproductive medicine policy and standards in Georgia.

💙 Her work combines scientific innovation, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care continuing to shape the future of reproductive medicine both locally and internationally.

✨ We are proud to introduce the Founder and Deputy Director of Reproart Georgian-American Center for Reproductive Medicine - Nino Okujava, Clinical Geneticist and Media & Communications Professional.

🔎 With a unique background that bridges medicine, communication, and media, Nino Okujava brings a multidisciplinary perspective to REPROART’s development and patient-centered approach.

🎓 She graduated from Tbilisi State Medical Institute and began her career as a clinical geneticist at Zhordania Institute of Human Reproduction, where she worked for over a decade, contributing to the field of reproductive genetics and clinical practice.

☑️ From 1994 onward, she expanded her professional path into leadership and creative roles in media and communications, serving as Deputy Director of NeoStudio, while also becoming actively involved in media and communications projects. During the same period, she was a member of the editorial staff of The World of Constant Connection and worked as Corporate Video Advertising Executive Producer for MagtiCom, one of Georgia’s leading communications service providers.

✔️ Nino acted as Executive Producer for a number of documentary films and social projects focused on identity, history, and public health. She also collaborated with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs on family planning, anti-abortion, and reproductive health television initiatives implemented under the Family Healthcare Program in Georgia.

🌍 Since 2012, she has served as Co-Founder and Deputy Director of Reproart, playing a key role in shaping patient communication strategy and supporting the clinic’s mission of inclusive, informed, and compassionate reproductive care. She is a member of both the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
