🩷 WHY DO YOUR BREASTS HURT JUST BEFORE YOUR PERIOD? 🩸
Ever noticed that your breasts become tender, swollen, heavy, or painful a few days before your period? You’re not alone. 👀
The main reason is hormonal changes during your menstrual cycle. After ovulation, levels of estrogen and progesterone change, which can cause the breast tissue to swell and retain fluid.
You may notice:
🔹 Breast tenderness or soreness
🔹 Swelling or fullness
🔹 Heaviness
🔹 Increased ni**le sensitivity
For many people, the discomfort improves when the period starts or shortly afterward.
💡 Wearing a supportive bra, using a warm or cold compress, and taking an appropriate over-the-counter pain reliever can help if needed.
⚠️ See a healthcare professional if the pain is new, severe, persistent, occurs mainly in one breast, or comes with a lump, ni**le discharge, skin changes, or redness.
