Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause, rest and reconnect with yourself.

After taking sometime off to rest and reset ,I am stepping into this new week with renewed energy, clarity, gratitude and purpose.
This is your reminder that rest is not weakness.
Rest is necessary
You cannot pour from an empty cup.
May this week bring fresh strength, new opportunities, peace of mind and the motivation to keep showing up for your goals even if progress is slow.

A rested mind and body can do amazing things.

Happy new week from

On this world hypertension day, let’s remember that hypertension is not only influenced by food and physical health, our emotional health matters too.

Chronic stress, unresolved anger, anxiety, emotional burnout and constant negative emotions can silently affect the body over time, increasing the risk high blood pressure and other health complications.

Many people focus on diet alone, but true wellness also includes stress management, emotional balance, quality sleep, movement, healthy relationships and nourishing food choices.

Your heart responds to more than just what’s on your plate, it’s also responds to what you carry emotionally, so take care of yourself mind, body and heart together.

Some weeks test you in every possible way.
Long days, back-to-back responsibilities, skipped meals, mental exhaustion… yet somehow, you still have to show up with strength, purpose, and a smile.

This week was demanding for me, but it reminded me that wellness is not about perfection — it’s about resilience, grace, and learning to care for yourself even in busy seasons.
As a Dietitian, I also get overwhelmed sometimes. I miss meals, get exhausted, and juggle a lot behind the scenes. But through it all, I’m learning to give myself compassion while still showing up positively for the people who depend on me.
Here’s your reminder:
Take care of yourself while chasing your goals. Your health deserves attention too. 🤍

Green juices, smoothie packs = literal lifesavers for busy days.
Because healthy eating becomes easier when everything is already prepped (wash, chopped, portioned ) and ready to go..
From boosting hydration and digestion to helping you stay consistent with your wellness goals, these little packs do a lot.

Would you keep these stocked in your freezer ?

African locust fruit or Dawadawa is sweet, refreshing and packed with lots of nutrients.
This fruit deserves more attention on your plate .

Besides it’s high carotenoids content, it is a rich source of vitamin c which supports healthy bodily functions such as ;
1. Building immunity
2. Helps the uptake of iron in food which increases blood levels
3. Vital for collagen production
4. Helps in faster wound healing and so many other benefits.
5. Improves cardiovascular health.

This is a fruit which shouldn’t be overlooked.

We have all we need but our processing methods are destroying the nutrients in them. Not everything needs to be cooked on high heat .
Try making your this way and you will taste the difference.

Simple ingredients, powerful results.
Here’s how to make your own Sauerkraut at home

Ingredients:
🥬1 medium cabbage
🥬 1–1½ teaspoons salt
Or
🥬For every weight of cabbage, add 2% sea salt.

Method:
1. Wash and clean cabbage though

2. Take of 3-4 of the cabbage leaves and set aside (used as a cover for the sauerkraut)

3. Slice cabbage thinly

4. Add salt and massage until it releases its natural juices

5. Pack tightly into a clean jar

6. Cover with about 3 leaves of the cabbage so all the sauerkraut is submerged while the juices remain on top.

7. Cover land leave at room temperature (3–7 days) or more for stronger fermentation.
Taste and refrigerate once it reaches your preferred tanginess
That’s it, no additives , just natural fermentation. 🌿

DM if you have any challenges when making it or questions to ask.

No need for expensive probiotics in bottles when you can make this in your kitchen and get same or more benefits for your gut.

4years ago i suffered serious gut issues as a result of prolonged antibiotics use, which came as a result of misdiagnosis from a medical doctor. During that period, I was in a state of depression, continuous gut problems, had skin issues which no matter what I did, couldn’t be cleared and allergic reactions from foods I was used to.

The only thing that saved me was eating the right things and healing my gut, and this right here was and is still a part of my healing journey..
God reminded me how He alone has given us everything we need to nourish and heal both internally and externally.

This is a must have in your daily meals.
Give it a try !

Many have stopped eating rice because they have been told it is unhealthy, and that,it causes weight gain, spikes blood sugar levels, increases cholesterol levels and many others.

This is the fact, rice is not so evil as it has been painted to look. The problem is how we consume it :
In large portions
Eating it alone
Wrong combinations
And wrong timing.

But what if I told you there is a more effective approach to eating rice and it’s super simple ;
1. Reduce portion size of rice
2. Increase vegetable intake with rice.
3. Add enough protein
4. Eat slowly
5. Aim for a more balance plate.
As a dietitian, I often emphasize sustainable nutrition is not about restriction, but about balance and intention.
