February is Rheumatoid Arthritis awareness month: the day falls on February 2, every year.
RA is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by symmetric polyarthritis affecting many synovial joints leading to joint damage and destruction. It also has a lot of extra-articular manifestations.
This month we are looking at "The impact of Rheumatoid Arthritis on the cardiovascular system " .
There is a need to create awareness to help recognize the early signs and symptoms of the disease, thereby reducing and preventing the morbidity and mortality associated with the disease by providing appropriate care and treatment.
