Speciallady Awareness in partnership with Development Bank Ghana (DBG) organised a menstrual hygiene outreach programme at Tepa Senior High School on Thursday, May 28, 2026, to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 under the global theme, “Together for a .”
The programme aimed to educate students on menstrual health and hygiene, reduce stigma surrounding menstruation and promote equal access to menstrual products and reproductive health education for girls.
More than 2,000 female students benefited from the outreach and received sanitary pads to support their menstrual health and hygiene needs.

Development Bank Ghana (DBG), in partnership with Speciallady Awareness, will undertake a menstrual hygiene outreach programme at Tepa Senior High School as part of activities marking Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 under the global theme, “Together for a .”
The initiative seeks to educate students on menstrual health and hygiene, break the stigma surrounding menstruation and promote equal access to menstrual products and reproductive health education for girls in Ghana.

Another Impactful Year – A Quick Recap
2025 has been a year of meaningful outreach, all made possible by your support.

April 2025:
In partnership with the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, we visited Kumasi Girls SHS and Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS, reaching 3,500+ female students with education on reproductive health and menstrual hygiene and donations of sanitary pads.

May 2025:
With the Ghana National Youth Authority (NYA), we engaged 1,000 students at the Ayalolo Cluster of Schools on menstrual hygiene and youth advocacy.

October 2025:
In collaboration with the National Lottery Authority, NLA Good Causes Foundation, we supported 2,000 female students at Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) in Tamale through sanitary pad distribution, education on menstrual hygiene and youth advocacy.
