Redefining Ghana’s aviation and culture through global excellence…
Coming soon with great flights and great deals. It’s Goldstar Air, Wings of Ghana.
Registered and based in Accra, Ghana , Goldstar Air intends to use Tamale Airport (TML) as its second hub and has secured the Architectural Design and Building Order for the construction of our Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Organization (MRO) 250 x 250 x 75 Twin Hangar at the airport which can accommodate two (2) largest passenger aircraft ever developed A380 (maximum certified capacity for 853 passengers) or many narrow and smaller aircraft at the same, as the airline sees this as a way to expand job opportunities for the people of Northern Ghana and to open up business opportunities in the Northern sector of the country to the world.
The airline also intends to construct a cargo village and a city project called "Goldstar City," which will encapsulate a training school for engineers, pilots, cabin crew, and other airline staff. A career in aviation, particularly as a pilot, is a dream for many Ghanaian youth, so the Flight School, will help some Ghanaians realize their dreams.
Goldstar Air will also organize charter flights for Ghanaians to and from Tamale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, as well as other Muslims across Africa, and for this project, the airline will train more Ghanaian pilots and cabin crew who will be on call and work on a contract basis whenever a charter service is available or as and when our fleet expands.
The airline’s strategy is to use the country's rich tourism and cultural resources as well as gateway to West Africa to position the northern enclave as a preferred tourist destination in the country and the West African sub-region and to attract foreign investors, local and international tourists, and visitors to the area. Our intentions as Ghanaians is to build a state-of-the-art and Trend-Setting Aviation industry able to compete within the international market in terms of Safety, Quality, Reliability, Punctuality, Efficiency and Costs.
The wholly-owned Ghanaian airline will soon fly one of the world's youngest fleets, featuring the world's most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly aircrafts and projecting a fleet of more than 100 modern aircrafts to more than 90 key business and leisure destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, and North America.
