Oral hygiene remains critical in a total health system. Dental care is the practice of keeping the mouth and teeth clean in order to prevent dental disorders. A study conducted by the Christian Health Association of Ghana according to my joy online in September 2021 indicates that 96% of adults in Ghana between the ages of 34-44 suffer from periodontal disease and caries.
The recent prevalence of oral conditions among children, adolescents, and the elderly calls for additional efforts to reduce the burden.
In an attempt to attain this, the Ho diocese and Management of Margret Marquart Catholic Hospital have decided to embark on rendering this specialized care.
