PRU West District Health Directorate Trains 30 Front-Line Officers to Tackle Malnutrition* The Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) program in Ghana continues to play a vital role in combating malnutrition, especially among children under five. To strengthen efforts against severe acute malnutrition in the district, the Regional Health Directorate, in partnership with the District Health Directorate, has trained 30 frontline health workers across all health facilities and CHPS Zones. The training focuses on enhancing their capacity to identify cases early through active case search, as well as on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of acute malnutrition at the community level.
We extend our gratitude to the Regional Health Director of Bono East Region, the Deputy Director of Public Health, the Regional Nutrition Officer, and their team for their support. Special thanks also go to the District Director of Health Services, Mr. Haruna Seidu, for endorsing this important initiative.
