Strengthening Quality in Healthcare

Regional Health Services Region 3, in collaboration with the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS), successfully hosted a one-day Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Training Workshop for 45 healthcare professionals from De Kinderen Regional Hospital, West Demerara Regional Hospital, and Leonora Diagnostic and Treatment Centre.

The workshop strengthened participants' skills in identifying root causes, managing risks, and improving healthcare service delivery through quality improvement practices.

We thank GNBS for their continued partnership in supporting excellence and continuous improvement in healthcare across Region 3.

Today, the official opening of the Hague Back Health Post marked another important milestone in expanding access to quality healthcare for the residents of Region Three.
The ceremony was attended by the Regional Chairman, Mr. Sheik M.I. Ayube; the Regional Executive Officer, Mr. Surendra Khayyam; the Regional Health Officer, Dr. Hassan; and the Honourable Minister, Mr. Deodat Indar, along with other government officials, healthcare professionals, and members of the community.
The commissioning of this modern health facility reflects the Government of Guyana's continued investment in the healthcare sector and its commitment to ensuring that residents have access to essential medical services closer to home.
