Having more than a decade experience in Universal Yoga with his guruji Andrey Lappa, Zhenya is one of the most senior teachers in this field. Since his first class with Andrey in 2008, he has been very much inspired by Andrey’s teachings and he understands no one could present yoga as Andrey does.

Apart from the authentic and systematic yoga knowledge from Andrey, he studied physiology and anatomy of yoga from other teachers in Russia, and was trained by masters from India, Ukraine and Moldova from 2010-2014.

Starting from 2014, he has devoted several months per year to his personal practice of yoga and meditation at a Buddhist monastery - Karma Lekshey Ling in Kathmandu, Nepal. To him, real yoga is about happiness, love, enlightenment and unification.

Given as a great talent, Zhenya also designs, paints based on his own experience in yoga and meditation. He is the author of the majority prints of Universal Yoga.

In teaching, Zhenya specializes in conducting group classes Universal Yoga and the creation of unique creative sequences of Mandala Yoga. Students are always amazed by his humorous and kind character, and of course, by his professional and creative teachings.

Yoga Alfresco 2.0? Debut trip to Nepal!

Hello Alfresco Yogis, Happy New Year=)

Though it has been a long while that I have not been participating at our Alfresco events, teaching at Yoga Alfresco is definitely one of my best nostalgia during my babe-crawling state of teaching. I miss you guys very much! How have you guys been doing?

Teaching and practicing life has been very hectic on my side. In the past year 2018, I am very grateful to accomplish co-teaching two teacher training programmes (500 hours in total) with our teacher, founder of Universal Yoga, Andrey Lappa and my dearest Sangha (fellow in the spiritual community) Kelsey X, co-founder of Yoga Alfresco in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Teacher is successful and more than a hundred yoga teachers are graduated from the two programmes.

Here, I am delighted and excited to announce that Teacher Kelsey X and I are co-founding another community named UNIVERSAL YOGA SACRED PLACE for offering Universal Yoga Retreats Programmes to carry on our spiritual mission of spreading & planting the seeds of Universal Yoga unremittingly in order to share this traditional and authentic system of yoga to people who are looking for the right path of spiritual liberation. Retreats with different themes around the world would be organized and conducted by certificated and experienced Universal Yoga teachers.

We are more thrilled to announce you our first event in 2019 - Universal Yoga in the Kathmandu Valley with Karma Wangyal and Christina Sherab 9-13 April.
