2025年5月26日至28日，ORAR AI 團隊參與了於香港會議展覽中心（HKCEC）舉行的香港國際醫療及健康展。

作為來自香港理工大學（PolyU）言語治療及、Feelings Group和ORAR （口復易）的科研團隊，我們非常榮幸能於現場與來自海內外的醫療專家、言語治療師及業界同仁面對面交流。

在為期三天的展覽中，我們於攤位即場示範了 ORAR 應用程式，展示我們在 AI 口腔面部運動評估，以及舌壓與咬合力雙重測量技術上的最新研究成果。透過與在場人士的深度對話，我們共同探討了如何將創新科技有效融入臨床復康實踐，為中風及神經系統疾病患者提供更精準的篩查方案。

[Event Recap] ORAR AI Showcases at the 2025 Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair

From May 26 to 28, 2025, the ORAR AI team participated in the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

As a scientific research team originating from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) Speech Therapy, Feelings Group, and ORAR, we were deeply honored to connect face-to-face with local and international medical experts, speech therapists, and industry peers.

During the three-day exhibition, we conducted live demonstrations of the ORAR app at our booth, showcasing our latest research breakthroughs in AI-powered orofacial movement assessment, as well as our dual-measurement technology for tongue pressure and bite force. Through in-depth dialogues with attendees, we explored how to effectively integrate innovative technology into clinical rehabilitation practices, providing more precise screening solutions for patients recovering from strokes and neurological disorders.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the professionals who visited us. These live interactions allow us to collaborate with the industry to co-create new standards for smart healthcare and rehabilitative care.

[活動回顧] ORAR AI 參與 2025年 SHAPE 國際研討會

2025年6月30日至7月2日，ORAR AI 團隊參與了於詹姆士庫克大學新加坡校區舉行的 SHAPE 國際研討會（SHAPE International Symposium 2025）。

在為期三天的會議中，我們發表了題為*「評估健康人士與中風患者口腔面部運動的手機應用程式：開發與潛在應用」*的研究成果。這次參會讓我們有機會將研究心得帶到海外，與來自世界各地的學者及研究人員分享與交流。

作為香港理工大學（PolyU）中文及雙語學系言語治療所的一員，我們展示了 ORAR 應用程式如何利用 AI 圖像檢測技術，協助臨床人員更有效地評估中風患者的口腔運動功能。透過與不同國家的專業人士對話，我們深入探討了智慧醫療工具在復健篩查中的實用性。

感謝大會提供的學術交流平台，讓我們能與全球同仁共同探討科技與醫療結合的無限可能。

[Research Recap] ORAR AI at SHAPE International Symposium 2025

🗓️ Date: June 30 – July 2, 2025

From June 30th to July 2nd, 2025, our team participated in the SHAPE International Symposium held at the James Cook University Singapore Campus.

It was a valuable opportunity to present our research findings titled: "A mobile app for examining oral-facial movements in healthy and stroke patients: Its development and potential applications." During the conference, we shared our data and development journey with researchers, academics, and healthcare attendees coming from different parts of the world.

Representing the Speech Therapy Unit at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), we showcased how the ORAR app utilizes AI-assisted image detection and speech recognition to evaluate oral-motor functions. Engaging in academic dialogue with international peers allowed us to discuss the feasibility of using eHealth tools for clinical screenings in stroke and dementia care.

We are grateful for the chance to share our Hong Kong-based research on an overseas stage and look forward to further refining our technology through these global academic exchanges.

【Lingnan University Jockey Club Age-at-Home Gerontech & Smart Ageing Programme — Event Recap】

On October 23rd, the ORAR team was honoured to be invited to participate in the exhibition event of the "Lingnan University Jockey Club Age-at-Home Gerontech & Smart Ageing Programme" hosted by Lingnan University! ✨

We believe that the most advanced AI technology should not stay confined to laboratories — it should reach the community and truly help those in need. At the event, we introduced our ORAR app to elderly residents and neighbours:

Step-by-step guidance: Our team personally guided the elderly on how to use their phone camera for AI oral-motor assessment. Many were amazed that their phone could become a "rehabilitation assistant"!

Health & Nutrition, Worry-Free: In line with the programme's theme of "Medical & Food", we shared how oral-motor training can help improve eating and speech abilities, enhancing quality of life.

Cross-generational Inclusion: Seeing the elderly at the event enthusiastically trying out new technology and even offering us valuable feedback — that is exactly what drives us to keep improving.

We are grateful to Lingnan University and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for the invitation, allowing ORAR to contribute to the smart ageing landscape covering "Medical, Food, Housing, and Transport." We will continue working hard to make gerontech more accessible and enjoyable for all!

We are honored to announce that ORAR AI has officially participated in the HICOOL 2025 Global Entrepreneur Summit in Beijing, achieving remarkable success!

With the steadfast support of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and PolyVentures, we took to this world-class stage dedicated to empowering global entrepreneurs and driving technological innovation.

During the HICOOL 2025 summit, the ORAR AI team actively competed in the Global Entrepreneurship Competition, showcasing our breakthrough AI oral rehabilitation tools to international judges and industry leaders. Through live demonstrations, we presented the technical innovations of our AIoT hardware—specifically its dual-measurement capabilities for tongue pressure and bite force. [Event Recap] The Asia Pacific Society of Speech, Language and Hearing (APSSLH) 2025 Conference has successfully concluded! 🌍✨

It was a great pleasure to participate in this regional speech therapy conference. We showcased our research findings through various formats:

📍 Poster Presentation: We delved into the clinical data and research progress behind "Oral-Motor Assessment and Rehabilitation" (ORAR).
📍 Exhibition Booth: We engaged directly with experts and colleagues from around the world, providing live demonstrations of our mobile app designed for oral-motor assessment and rehabilitation for patients with stroke and neurological conditions.
📍 Promotional Video: We were honored to have our introductory video played on the main screen of the conference, allowing more attendees to understand how technology can improve oral-motor functions to enhance speech/swallowing safety and quality of life.

Our heartfelt thanks to the organizers for the invitation and to everyone who visited our booth! We look forward to bringing these innovative rehabilitation tools even further in the future.
