a sad announcement
we are closing
After five years of concerts, community, Instax pics, and many memorable moments together, it’s time for us to close this chapter.
It will come as no surprise that the last 2-3 years have been incredibly hard for most of us, and especially hard for small businesses like ours.
We have tried everything we could think of for the past two years, and we had big aspirations for the future, but there is only so far that grit and determination can take you.
In what can only be described as an economic and environmental crisis, many of the things that used to sustain the business no longer can, and we have not been able to find a way to move forward and keep afloat.
We had planned to stay open for a couple more weeks to say goodbye at a last concert properly, but sadly we are out of time and will not be able to continue GARDEN WONDER.
What started as an idea for a small garden “house concert”, turned into a monthly secret gathering, a brand, a showcase for international and local indie artists and a fantastic community, and the journey has had many amazing moments. We’ve met incredible people, made lifelong friends, and achieved things we could never have imagined.
We have been amazed to see the live concert community and celebration of indie artists grow over our five years of GARDEN WONDER and are excited to see these seeds continue to flourish.
What’s next for us? The team will all continue on supporting live music, discovering whatever the world has in store for us after GARDEN WONDER. We will upload whatever online content we have (photos and videos) so that our work can live on, and if we have any updates, we will put them on the Instagram, which we will keep live.
We are so grateful to every single one of you who has joined us on this journey. If you’ve played a concert as an artist, come to a concert as a supporter, stuck a GARDEN WONDER sticker on your laptop, bought some of our merch, worked with us, written an article about us, collaborated with us on a project, shared your opinions and experiences with us, it has meant the world to us.
Thank you, with infinite gratitude,
Hanna and the GARDEN WONDER team
