Mum here. I had the honour to come to know Dee, a beautiful brave woman who lived a beautiful life, we shared an understanding of cancer from completely different perspectives. Whether your the patient, the mum, the child, the spouse or the friend. Cancer affects us all but it unites us too 🙏
Rest in peace Dee, the most beautiful soul you live on now through your beautiful children 🙏🤲✨Rest in peace Dee, the prayers are sent from our family to yours 💛

Tributes have been paid to mum-of-four and former nurse Dee Woods from Greystones, who died before Christmas Day, despite having begun advanced treatment for cancer abroad in November, which had offered some hope.

The most common use of platelets and blood transfusions in Ireland is cancer treatment. Many patients are in hospital each week receiving these vital gifts from donors around the country.

Mum here, I was contacted by Bathroom Renovation Dublin the day before Christmas eve who kindly gave to us a generous €€ donation to give my family extra security over the Christmas period 🙏
To say we were thankful and overwhelmed by the support and generosity of strangers is absolutely magic to experience, it's overwhelmingly beautiful especially over the Christmas period.
I was fortunate enough to be able meet the family behind the business and we connected straight away on a level of absolute compassion and respect and welcome 🤗
I have met the most AMAZING people during this journey since Aislings diagnosis and people, humans, well to say I'm inspired and blessed by human kindness is an understatement!
Were making friends for life during this process and were supported by a wide community that is growing each and every day
Thank you so much to all at bathroom renovation Dublin and to your WHOLE family.
