💚 September is here and it's asking you a quieter type of question:

What do you need right now? 🧐

This month by the lakes, there are gentle spaces to move, rest, release and reset — from Yin Yoga and sound to Reiki, Yoga Nidra and early morning energy.

Have a little look through the September offerings and see what your body says yes to.

Emotions are meant to move through us. Not become another weight we quietly carry.

An emotion does not only happen in the mind.

It may arrive as a tight chest.
A heavy stomach.
A clenched jaw.
Shallow breathing.
Restless legs.
Shoulders that seem to live somewhere near the ears.

We often call emotions energy in motion. But when life requires us to keep going, stay strong or push our feelings aside, that motion can feel interrupted.

The answer is not to force an emotion out of the body or pretend it is gone.

It is to create enough safety to feel it, breathe with it and allow it to move.

Yoga combines movement, breathing and body awareness, helping us notice what we are carrying and reconnect with ourselves. Evidence suggests yoga can support stress management and may be a helpful addition for some symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Sound gives the busy mind something steady to follow. The rhythm and vibration can create a deeply restful space, although research into sound baths is still developing. One small observational study found participants reported less tension, anger and fatigue after a singing-bowl meditation.

Reiki offers stillness, gentle attention and permission to receive rather than continually do. Many people find the experience helps soothe the body and relax.

These practices are not about bypassing difficult feelings.

They are about meeting them differently...
with breath instead of resistance,
movement instead of bracing,
and compassion instead of judgement.

You do not have to carry every emotion forever simply because you once had to survive it.

Where do you notice emotion first? In your chest, stomach, jaw or shoulders? What's your go to session?

Your yoga practice isn’t meant to look the same in every season of your life.

Ayurveda teaches that we each have our own natural constitution. A unique combination of Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Yet our energy, emotions and sense of balance can shift as life moves around and through us.

That is where yoga becomes more than a sequence of poses.
It becomes a practice of listening.

When your energy feels scattered, your practice may need to ground you.

When life feels intense, you may need cooling movement, softness and space.

When you feel heavy or stagnant, your body may ask for rhythm, breath and a little more fire.

The wisest practice is not always the strongest, longest or most impressive one.

It is the one that meets you honestly where you are.

You may not need the same yoga in every chapter.
You need the yoga that supports the chapter you are living now.

What is your body asking for today? Grounding, cooling or energising?
