After reflexology, maximize benefits and minimize potential discomfort by resting, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding stimulants for 24–48 hours.

The session may trigger detoxification, leading to temporary fatigue, headaches, or increased urination, which are normal signs of the body rebalancing.

1. Stay Hydrated: Drink water or herbal tea (like chamomile or peppermint) to help flush out toxins released during the session.
Rest and Relax: Allow your body to continue healing by avoiding strenuous activity for the rest of the day.

2. Avoid Stimulants: Steer clear of alcohol, caffeine, and to***co for at least 24 hours to prevent counteracting the detoxifying effects.
Eat Lightly: Opt for light, nutritious meals rather than heavy food to avoid diverting energy away from the healing process.

3. Manage Reactions: It is normal to feel emotional, tired, or even experience a mild cold-like symptom (a "healing crisis") temporarily. This usually passes in 24–48 hours, but if it lasts longer, consult a professional.

4. Listen to Your Body: If you feel lightheaded, rest. You may feel very relaxed, so take it easy if driving.

5. Note Changes: Record any changes in your physical or emotional state (tearful, nostalgic, agitated, etc.) to discuss at your next appointment.

This is vital information to feed back to the reflexologist as it shows how your body is responding to treatment. This will help the reflexologist to tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs.
