Grief doesn’t need to be fixed.
Sometimes it simply needs to be held.
Grief is different for everyone.
There is no right way to grieve, no timeline to follow and no particular way you are supposed to feel.
Sometimes you need to talk.
Sometimes you don’t want to talk at all.
Sometimes you might laugh, cry, feel angry, numb, exhausted or even feel okay for a while — and all of it can be part of grief.
As a reflexologist and Reiki practitioner, I believe one of the most important things I can offer someone who is grieving is a safe space to simply be.
A space where you can feel listened to and cared for, without judgement or expectations.
Reflexology can offer a quiet opportunity to pause, rest and reconnect with yourself when grief feels overwhelming. The gentle, nurturing nature of a treatment can encourage relaxation and give the body and mind some much-needed time to slow down.
Reiki can offer another form of gentle support, creating space for stillness, calm and rest when emotions feel heavy.
Neither reflexology nor Reiki takes away grief, and neither is a replacement for professional or bereavement support when that is needed.
But sometimes, having someone sit with you, listen without trying to change how you feel, and offer you a little time and care can be meaningful.
You don’t have to grieve a certain way here.
You don’t have to have the right words.
You can simply come as you are.
At Sonas, there is space for that.
