📢 The Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance (BSCFA) is open for applications from 3 June 2026 until 30 September 2026.

🎒 If you automatically get the payment, you'll be notified in June and don't need to apply.

📨 You’ll be notified by post or through your MyWelfare.ie account.

⚠️ If you aren't notified by the end of June, you can apply online on MyWelfare.ie, or by post.

The rate of payment for 2026 is:

👉 €160 for children aged 2 to 11
👉 €285 for children aged 12 years and over

⚽️ We would love to bring a walking football group to Arklow, but we need to know if there is enough local interest first! ⚽️

It is a fantastic, low-impact way to stay active and enjoy the social side of the game at a walking pace, with absolutely no running allowed. It will be open to all ages, fitness levels and abilities.

Attention all and parents

This is a brilliant new service for young Travellers nationwide.

Traveller children and youth can now access counselling support, trust that their counsellor/therapist is culturally aware/ sensitive and also trained in Traveller culture and anti-racist practice.
