You automatically get the payment if you get:

βœ… Carer’s Allowance
βœ… Carer’s Benefit
βœ… Domiciliary Care Allowance

You may still qualify if you:

βœ… Are 16 or over
βœ… Live in Ireland
βœ… Are a full-time carer for more than 6 months (this 6-month period must include the first Thursday in June)
βœ… Live with the person being cared for, or meet certain criteria if you don’t live with them

Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP) – DSP Placements Starting September 2026
The Department of Social Protection is inviting expressions of interest for 6-month paid work placements (30 hours per week) in DSP offices nationwide.
The programme is open to all priority cohorts, including members of the Traveller and Roma communities, and provides valuable experience in:

βœ… Customer service
βœ… Office and data processing
βœ… Working in a professional public service environment

πŸ’Ά Weekly payment: €369 plus any additional Qualified Adult or Qualified Child payments you may be entitled to.

Pavee Point Traveller and Roma Centre is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill two separate roles:

1️⃣ We are looking for candidates for the position of Traveller Child Health Development Worker as part of a new and exciting Traveller Child Health Programme covering Dublin and the North East region.

2️⃣ We are looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Traveller Brighter Beginning (TBB) Childhood Health Co-ordinator also part of the Traveller Child Health Programme covering Dublin and the North East region.

Both positions are part of the Traveller Brighter Beginnings Initiative under the National Traveller Health Action Plan.
