Breathwork is not only about relaxation.

It changes the way we experience life.

The way we connect.
The way we listen.
The way we feel.
The way we relate to ourselves and to the people around us.

When we are disconnected from the body, life becomes mental.
Rushed.
Controlled.
Performed.

But when we slow down and reconnect with breath, something softens.

We become more present.
More open.
More available for real connection.
For intimacy.
For feeling.
For being fully here.

And this is part of aliveness too.

Not constantly chasing stimulation or peak experiences.
But being deeply connected to the moment you are living.

To yourself.
To life.
To another human being sitting in front of you.

Breath brings us back into that.

Sometimes the body is not asking for more information.
It is asking for reassurance.

A simple hand over the heart can become a signal of safety.
A moment where the body feels:
“I am here.”
“I am supported.”
“I can soften.”

Small moments of presence change the nervous system more than constant overthinking ever will.

Your body is always listening.
Even to the way you touch yourself.
Even to the way you breathe.
Even to the way you speak to yourself internally.

This is the work.
Coming back into relationship with yourself.
Coming back into the body.
Coming back into aliveness.

When we are always in the mind or lost in the thoughts, we stop fully experiencing life.

The simple pleasures of life.
The simple moments.
The sensations.

Like listening to the fire.
Feeling the warmth.
Watching the flames dancing.
The blues.
The oranges.
The reds.
The yellows.
The light.

Drinking a glass of wine and actually tasting it.
Feeling the sensations in your body as it softens and slows down.

Life can be so simple.
Pleasure can be so simple.

Many times pleasure is as simple as being present enough to fully experience the moment through your senses.

Connecting with the senses and pleasure is my favourite tool to regulate my system and bring me back to the here and now.

Pleasure relaxes the body.
Softens the nervous system.
Brings us back into the present moment.
Back into ourselves.
