Introducing our new name: Prostate Cancer Ireland

For over thirty years, Men Against Cancer (MAC) has been an understated but active presence in the lives of men diagnosed with prostate cancer in Ireland, and in the lives of those who love them. Founded in 1993, MAC began as a small group of men who understood, from personal experience, what it meant to face a prostate cancer diagnosis – and who believed that no one should have to face it alone.

That belief has never changed. But the organisation has grown, and the time has come for the name to grow with it.

The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology is now enrolling patients in the ASPIRE trial (A032302)-a large-scale, phase III clinical study investigating whether adding chemotherapy to current standard treatments extends survival for men with advanced prostate cancer.
