Today we join the global community in recognising World Kidney Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of kidney health and the impact of kidney disease.

Kidneys play a vital role in keeping our bodies healthy, yet kidney disease often develops silently. Early detection, healthy lifestyle choices, and access to care can make a life-changing difference.

Today we also acknowledge the incredible work of nephrology nurses across Ireland and worldwide who provide compassionate, specialised care to people living with kidney disease every day. Your expertise, dedication, and advocacy truly make a difference.
