Goal for life I've set up this page as a Gold Member of Weight Watchers so that fellow members can support each ot We all love our food

After reaching my goal weight I realise that achieving my goal was the easy bit....the daily struggles of making "good choices" are an ongoing problem. A group of us meet each weak after our weigh in and we all seem to have a common link or links....
1. We have all lost weight
4. We all have bad days and good days
5. We are just normal people like every body else

Now that we are into January and all this "New Year, New Me" nonsense has settled, I feel able to make a few changes. I do a lot of Mindless eating, I wolf my food down without thinking.
So this week I'm going to try "Mindful eating", eat slowly and savour my food and hopefully recognise when I'm actually full.

There was a time when bread was the enemy in my "diet" plan.....thankfully I never went down the road of cutting the crusts off just to make it weigh as a daily allowance.
Please don't get sucked in to this way of thinking.
Everything in moderation and I would suggest going for wholemeal.

Before all the New Year nonsense starts, please think carefully about making unrealistic resolutions.
In fact, I would suggest using New Year to evaluate your goals and slowly make changes over the next 12 months. Be nice to yourself NOT deprive yourself.

October 31st This Month::: I think I managed the Month without mentioning "diet" or "scales".!!!
The enthusiasm I had on the 1st went downhill mid month but it's kinda back again!
It's so hard to stay focused but I have to say doing a daily post has really helped me to be mindful.
November is hard and December will be even harder with the shops filling with nice food.

October 29th Exercise: I try but don't always succeed!! I've recently started back into aqua aerobics which I actually love. It's a fantastic workout without the pain, something I would never be able to do out of water.
I also try to do a 10 minute walk at lunchtime when I'm working but I refuse to go in the rain...I could melt!!!!!
Find something that you enjoy.

October 28th How I relax....In Summer I relax by the sea while I read a book or crochet and switch off from the world around me.
In winter I love to sit in a room or go to bed early, scroll mindlessly through social media, chat to a friend on messenger or play a game on my phone.
I also try to have a reflexology or a Craniosacral session monthly (for a number of issues but both are very relaxing)
Find what works for you, it doesn't need to cost much but it is Vital.

October 27th Fruit&Veg.....my intake is very poor here but I do try to have some fruit everyday, my current favourite is stewed apple with granola&0%Greek natural yogurt. I only eat carrot,parsnip or peas so my veg intake has always been poor and I don't eat salad leaves either!!! Yes, I was a nightmare child to feed!!!!
