***UPDATE***

Unfortunately work has started on the building of a second telecommunications mast in Kinlough...shocking news...our beautiful village located in an area of outstanding natural beauty will now be blighted for evermore with a 24 metre tower in our midst.
Even more shocking is that the health and wellbeing of our children and our community will now be seriously put at risk.

Kinlough Mast Action group would like to thank everyone who supported our sponsored walk on Sunday last. It was wonderful to see so many families take part on the day. We will update the community regarding monies raised as soon as all sponsorship cards are returned. Your continued support is much appreciated.

Postponement of Sponsored Walk

As a mark of respect following the heartbreaking passing of Paddy Rooney, beloved son of Ms. Rooney and her husband Michael, and brother to Annie, and Joe, the sponsored walk scheduled for this Sunday has been postponed.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the Rooney family and all who knew and loved Paddy during this incredibly difficult time.

A new date for the walk will be shared in due course. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Kinlough Mast Action Group has launched a fundraising campaign to help cover the costs of a judicial review aimed at preventing the installation of a telecommunications mast 170 metres from the local primary school.
