Dear Friends and Participants of last year's ARTSLounge,

Despite our best intentions it looks like we will not be able to run this event again this year.
Considering the amount of voluntary work that went into organizing the ARTSLounge, and taking into account that we made it happen without a budget we had come to the conclusion that we were a bit overly optimistic with the initial idea of an annual event.
Furthermore there are changes within the committee with both Niamh O'Connor and Anja Nohlen leaving the Monaghan Arts Network in 2016. Audri Herron and Fiona Keenan-O'Brien would love to see the ARTSLounge taking place again in 2017 under the condition that new volunteers with a visual arts background and a budget for promotion, advertising etc. can be found.
Thank you all so much for taking part and supporting the ARTSLounge 2015
All the best and hopefully we will meet again next year.

Anja, Fiona and Niamh for the ARTSLounge committee

Actually I think I might take a moment here to congratulate the people (by name)who did put this amazing event together as I was but one of a team who made it happen ! We are a sub committee from The Monaghan Arts Network namely Anja Nohlen Fiona KB and myself Niamh O'Connor, along with terrific assistance from our chairperson Dara MacGabhann, Alex Watson & John Nutley, thanks too to Dez. Murphy and Vincent for the behind the scenes help and to all the artists performers film makers and musicians who made it so very special. Thanks too, to The Hillgrove Hotel and Audri Herron (it's all her fault really-it was her idea x) for offering their venue and services so that we may support local talents and raise funds for Rotary and the charities they support xN.

The Arts Lounge committee would like to extend a sincere thanks to all our participating artists over the last two days at the Arts lounge in the Hillgrove. Many of you travelled great distances with huge amounts of art work to participate in the event, and for that we are truly grateful. Many thanks also to our lounge performers, staff of the Hillgrove, and members of the Monaghan Arts Network Committee who helped with the set up and take down, Monaghan Farmers Market, Tydavnet Community Centre, Ballinode Community Centre & The Squealing Pig for additional tables and to Des and John for the transport. We could go on and on......but hopefully we haven't forgotten anybody.
