🎨💛 What a fantastic day for Passage West!

Today we officially revealed our Kindness in Action community wall display, created using artwork and kindness messages from the incredible students of St. Peter’s Community School.

This project was all about celebrating kindness, creativity, inclusion, and community spirit — and we couldn’t be prouder of how it came together.

Over the past few months, students from St. Peter's Community School have been working on a very meaningful community project celebrating kindness, creativity, and inclusion 💛

Very soon, their artwork will become part of a new public wall display in the heart of our community.

🌊 Our New Logo – Rooted in Passage West 💙

You might notice something new — we’ve updated our Passage West Together logo 😊

We wanted something simple, meaningful, and truly connected to Passage West itself.

The design is inspired by our town’s rich history as the original port of Cork, once serving as the main deep-water port for Cork City. The flowing lines reflect the water that shaped Passage West and its proud maritime past.

At the same time, those lines coming together represent what we’re all about today — a community moving in the same direction, supporting one another, and building something positive together.

This is a community-driven initiative, and that’s exactly what we wanted the logo to represent.

✨ People of Passage West – Meet Clodagh Quirke 🎶 ✨

We’re proud to shine a light on one of our own — Clodagh Quirke, a truly talented singer-songwriter from Passage West whose music is described as honest, vulnerable and heartfelt.

Music has been part of her life for as long as she can remember, inspired by legends like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, The Waterboys and Bruce Springsteen. She started piano as a small child, later picked up violin, and by just 11 years old she was already busking. When she moved onto guitar, song-writing quickly followed — and the rest is history.

Now she’s preparing for a headline show at The White Horse on February 28th, and she says there’s nothing more special than standing on stage and seeing familiar faces from home in the crowd 💙

Her live performances are warm, emotional and deeply authentic — once described as a “female Mick Flannery kind of show,” which she happily takes as a compliment.

Behind the scenes, she’s also working hard on her debut album (coming 2026) — a long but exciting process she says has given her a whole new appreciation for the craft behind great records.

Despite everything ahead, she keeps her roots close to her heart:

“With community and care, you can do anything… Whether it’s sharing a post, liking a video, buying merch or coming to a show — it all means the world. Up Passage!”

Today we were honoured to visit Marymount University Hospice to hand over the funds raised from this year’s Halloween Display.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, shared posts, and supported the event — the community support was incredible and truly made this possible. 💛
