Thanks to both the Meath Chronicle and the former Meath Weekender, who have always covered our great community event over the years.
This is the report from the former Meath Weekender newspaper of the day, and local cycling also got a mention. The late Noel Coogan, a native of Ardbraccan, was sports editor with the Meath Weekender for many years and covered athletics among many other sports with a great depth of knowledge.

Best of luck to Vera Corujo Ortiz who travelled back to Spain 🇪🇸 last Saturday.

Vera represented the club ⚫️🟡when she was here both in Cyclocross and Road Racing, gaining great experience & putting in strong performances 💪💯🚴‍♀️

👌Kudos to Gearoid on completing 140km Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare around Beara Peninsula🚴‍♂️🗻

💪Chapeau to Rose on completing the North to South N2 in Portugal with Paradise Cycling Tour. Rose cover a distance of 738km, with some spectacular scenery along the way 🚴‍♀️⛰️☀️

👊👊Chapeau to Aaron Rafferty on completing another Rás Tailteann Cycle Race last weekend and becoming one of the “men of the Ras 2026”👏👏.

With a total distance of 792.5 km raced over five days and 21 categorised climbs, this was sure to be one of the toughest Ras’s in recent years💪.

Aaron was a guest rider with Moynalty Cycling Club, with the team placing 5th county team overall - huge congrats all 🤩👏💪⚫️🔴

Definitely a much deserved rest needed for Aaron and the team😴😴

😎👏👊Massive kudos to race director Ger Campbell and Ras crew on another very successful Ras Tailteann🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

The club would like to wish Aaron Rafferty the best of luck 🍀🍀 in the upcoming Rás Tailteann Cycle Race starting this Wednesday in Portlaoise and finishing next Sunday in Dunboyne 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

As the club is not entering a team this year, Aaron will be a guest rider with Moynalty Cycling Club 👊👊

👏👏Aoibhe, Craig, Eoin, Katelynne, J-Jay & Jack raced in the Crit races around the streets of Dublin City centre earlier today.

All put in strong performances 🚴🏁💨💯

👊👊Massive congrats to Eoin who took the win 🥇in the U/16 race and his teammate Craig who got 🥈. As soon as the neutral section was over, both teammates broke away creating a gap up to 50 seconds and then kept away for the rest of the race. In the U/12 race, Jack placed 4th narrowly missing out on the podium.

Kudos to Dublin Bay Cycling Club on a well ran event and a great circuit.
