🌱 Sustainability in Auto-Injectors

As self-injection therapies expand, millions of disposable auto-injectors are used every year — contributing to plastic waste, manufacturing footprint, and supply chain emissions.

🛡️⭐ Patient Safety Day
Preparing for a self-injection isn’t always easy. Patients need to trust that the device will deliver the right dose, work properly, and be simple enough to use exactly when they need it. For people managing long-term therapies, that reliability is essential.
Behind that moment is a long process. At E3D – Elcam Drug Delivery Devices, devices begin their journey with the careful assembly and validation of critical subassemblies in-house. Only once these components are fully tested are they sent to our pharmaceutical partners.
From there, depending on the project and device configuration, the next steps are completed — the drug is integrated, labeling is applied, and the final combination product is prepared for release.
By the time the device reaches a patient, many hands and disciplines have worked together to ensure that one simple action — an injection — can be done safely and with confidence.
That’s what patient safety means to us at E3D.

💜 Overdose Awareness Day
Overdose remains a major global public health challenge and one of the leading causes of preventable death worldwide.
While trends vary across regions, the crisis continues to be closely linked to opioid-related harm.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were approximately 71,542 drug overdose deaths in the U.S. in the 12 months ending October 2025, representing a 17.1% decrease compared to the previous year.https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0tF1Fy0

Although based on U.S. data, this reflects a wider global reality: overdose remains an ongoing public health emergency.
Improvements in outcomes are generally associated with combined efforts such as:
• Wider access to emergency reversal treatments
• Expansion of addiction care and recovery services
• Harm reduction and public health programs
• Changes in illicit drug supply patterns

No single measure is enough — sustained impact requires a system-wide response.
Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a moment where time is critical.

In overdose emergencies, survival often depends on how quickly intervention is available and delivered.
