Yesterday, we took the stage for something that truly mattered.
A day before World Heart Day, our founder and endocrinologist Dr. Rucha Mehta joined an expert panel at the GCCI Business Women Committee for a powerful session titled "Nutrition Beyond The Plate: Connecting Science, Lifestyle and Health."
The conversation was moderated by Rachana Bontra and featured Ms. Kavita Kadam and Ms. Prachi Shah. The room was full of women who lead businesses, manage families, and rarely pause to ask whether their heart is actually okay.
Here is what we discussed:
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women globally. Yet most women never see it coming because the early signs are dismissed as stress, acidity, or aging.
The biggest shift we need is from lifespan to healthspan. Not just living longer but living better. For women in their 40s, that means building muscle, strengthening gut health, and moving beyond crash dieting.
We broke down the 6 pillars of prevention:
→ Plate: Protein, Fibre, Healthy Fats
→ Power: Strength Training
→ Practice: Daily Movement
→ Pause: Stress Management
→ Recovery: Sleep And Rest
→ Prevention: Regular Testing of HbA1c, Vitamin D, B12, Thyroid, Cholesterol
When women understand their hormones and metabolism, they are empowered to protect their hearts. That is the future of preventive health.
Thank you to the GCCI Business Women Committee for creating this space.
