It is Children’s Day today!

Here is an invitation from us at The Safe Grey Circle to try and be more aware of our actions and emotions, as adults. Our children are noticing us, more than they are listening to us.

Let us let them know that it is ok to be sad, angry, upset and more. Apologise, if you have to. Apologise if you have reacted in anger. Let them know it is only human to do so. To feel emotions. It is ok to cry. It is probably the best gift we can give our children.

“"Childhood trauma can lead to an adulthood spent in survival mode, afraid to plant roots, to plan for your future, to trust, to let joy in. It is a blessing to shift from surviving to thriving. It is not simple but there is more than survival." ~Thema Bryant-Davis”

😿 It can be really hard to cope with your child being sad. Our parental instincts tell us to go in and "fix" their feelings. But before we try to help them stop feeling sad, it's important that we acknowledge their feelings and validate them! There are few things worse than receiving the implicit message that something is wrong with us for feeling sad.

Dreamcatchers "In conversations with the Teens"

Yet another session of learning and unlearning along with the wonderful teens of Purva Venezia. An interactive, fun filled conversations with this energetic group was truly enthralling. Looking forward for more of such events.

Thank you Arshab for providing such an opportunity.
