2+ years into the market, and we are still surprised every day with the kind of questions and reviews people approach us with.

One thingā€™s clear though - notions like ā€œeating healthy is painfully difficult, because the foodā€™s tastelessā€ are exactly why people donā€™t give the good stuff a chance.

And thank goodness, I didnā€™t take his advice seriously... šŸ˜…

Or I wouldnā€™t witness real life stories of how Legitā€™s making a difference to peopleā€™s lives.

This Legit story reminded me that no matter how many consumer personas, touch-points, or occasions of usage we think of...

We find the most meaningful insights about why people consume our products in the most unexpected of ways.

And while Iā€™m still in my early years of entrepreneurship, I feel Iā€™m in a position to give this advice to all of us founders -

Have your ears to the ground and be where your consumers are.

Youā€™ll learn more about them and their lives than any marketing research or fancy ppt can ever tell you. ā¤ļø

When our founder Amrutha decided to leave her job and start us, the one person who was the most worried was her mother - Nirmala

Like any other parent, her concerns were about leaving a stable and cushy job to venture into the unknown. Least to say, she wasnā€™t happy about it.

However, sheā€™s also the person who left her home of 35 years and shifted in with Amrutha to do whatever itā€™d take to help her succeed.

From taking care of the home, the groceries, all the way to becoming a 2nd mother to Amruthaā€™s daughter and raising her.

From reminding Amrutha to eat in time (sheā€™s a forgetful one, we tell you), to holding down the fort so Amrutha could put in the hours at the factory, the expos, and everywhere else a FMCG founder needs to focus.

In more ways than one, sheā€™s the co-founder we didnā€™t ask for, but the one we needed.

This oneā€™s for Nirmala... the mother who made both Amrutha and Legit possible. :)

As much as weā€™re sad that their party plans were disrupted by a full blown attack by the kids, itā€™s stories like these that make us happy.

When kids pick our snacks from a range of traditionally deep-fried or dubious snacks, we know weā€™re doing something legit!
