These words sorta just slipped out in a wine-fuelled conversation with my dear friend David, and something about them beckoned us to go ahead and shut up for a moment to let them sink in.

It's a prickly paradox this one, because desire is a natural and healthy feature of being truly alive, and I'm definitely not spartan in my tastes. 🐒

I love indulging in the multiverse of pleasures life has to offer, I adore pretty things, I am never not seduced by shiny new horizons. 🌅

I totally get the minimalist appeal, but I refuse to accept that there is anything pers se wrong with embracing exuberance. 💥

As long as I don't NEED it to feel whole.

As long as I am relying on the intimacy with my experience, not on the attachment to the object that affords the experience, to feel myself, all turned on.

Whether I am sitting in the shade of a tree on a sunny day, or in a 2* Michelin Restaurant — in the end, I'm the source of my ecstasy, not the food, not the sun as such, but how much of it I can truly allow to pe*****te me.

And then, even when it's gone, the source of my experience stays with me, cause it was me all along. And I can tap into it, even sitting alone in an empty dark room. 🧘🏻‍♀️

There is something about letting go of the fixation on the outside world-of-objects, the worrying and hoping that the world will be as I (think) I want it to be, that frees up whole new dimensions of space for me to actually, truly, take it in. Become one with it.

So in the end, even when there is, technically, less OUT THERE, I end up with more, inside of me.

And I'm not just talking about material, down-to-the-microscopic, world of wine and Vitamin D. 😎

The same principle I have found to be true when it comes to all that lets us know we’re human: love, power, understanding, beauty. And then some.

Which ‘needs’ are you ready to let go of?

The keeps on giving! Seeing people dare to open up: their Selves —> to Others, reminds me why I’ll never lose hope for humanity.

I may not keep my 🐒mind from wo/andering “what could I have done better?” But I don’t have to let it trouble me.

Not when I can SENSE and see transformation in real-time. Real-time: … takes Time. Days after the workshop, picks up on the many, small, real changes in the participating team. Now, that's MY kind of Magic.

In practice, the Art of ❣️ is sort of a recharge — for the Spirit. For me, a perfect way to wrap-up the second edition of Bloom in Green.

Having missed each other’s workshop at the festival, getting to co-host with you Ranjith Vallathol was a Distinct Pleasure. Your voice is a soothing guide into our state of nature, which you remind us: is ecstatic.

Love is POWER. Don’t we forget it.

PS: Want to SPREAD the ❣️? There is nothing more rewarding than getting your testimonials. Please share your experience in a few words — it would mean a lot to me and future artists of ❣️

🙏

Why do I hold Art of Loving workshops? To help us all practice having wiser relationships: with Ourselves, with Others, with the World.

It’s kind of a no-brainer to me that our 🌎 would be so much more beautiful and harmonious with more, but especially BETTER ❣️in it.

❣️ is not only pleasurable — it also deepens our sense of aliveness & connectedness, helps us heal our emotional & psychological wounds, and motivates us to transform our lives for the better.

Unfortunately, as a culture we tend to misunderstand it miserably.

❣️ isn't something natural. It requires discipline, concentration, patience, faith, and the overcoming of narcissism.

❣️ is not a not a feeling to passively ‘fall into’. It is a capacity to be cultivated. Hence the *ART* of Loving: to master an art requires both knowledge and skill.

We all have the capacity to continuously experience ❣️, trust, inner peace, presence and ecstasy. We just need to practice it.

So that is what we do in my workshops: we support and inspire and challenge each other to cultivate our capacity for ❣️ by exploring some of its basic components: presence, care, responsibility, respect, and understanding.

Though grounded in theory, the exercises are body-based: focusing on presence, breath, eye gazing, tuning-in, boundaries, self-expression +++

—> DEEP work through loads of FUN :)

When people ask me how they can ‘practice at home’, one of the things I recommend is to DANCE more — dance not to impress, but to express.

Hence I am super-stoked to be co-facilitating with the talented who will guide us through an journey to our most joyful, empowered, authentic self.
