In case you missed it: Facebook is making video better by launching a single, immersive player for all types of video. The update may require creators to engage with their audience in new ways. Here are a few best practices to help you navigate the changes.

Now when viewers tap on a video anywhere in the app, they'll see a vertically oriented, full-screen video player. And within the player, we'll recommend the most relevant videos based on viewer interests, regardless of whether it's a Reel or other video.

Up until now, videos were shown in different players based on how people discovered them. The updated video player will be our first step towards a simpler and more consistent experience that brings together videos of all lengths and aspect ratios.

The updated player is coming to the US and Canada over the next few weeks and to the rest of the world later this year. Learn more here:
