“People are not becoming angrier overnight.
They are becoming emotionally exhausted.”

And unfortunately, the world only notices the anger — not the mental exhaustion behind it.

Today, people are carrying stress, pressure, emotional suppression, financial worries, loneliness, comparison, burnout, lack of sleep… all while trying to function normally.

The human mind was never designed to stay in survival mode constantly.
And when emotional overload stays unprocessed for too long, it slowly starts showing up as irritation, impatience, frustration, emotional reactions, and anger.

The saddest part?
Anger often makes people look like the problem, while nobody sees the silent exhaustion that built it.

But anger is dangerous because it is temporary… while the consequences of it may become permanent.

One angry decision.
One impulsive reaction.
One harsh sentence.
One emotional moment.

And sometimes relationships, careers, families, and even lives change forever.
Because words spoken in anger cannot be unheard.

Actions taken in anger cannot always be reversed.

At Ananya - A Foundation for Happiness, founded by Dr. Sneha Rao, we believe conversations around emotional wellbeing are becoming more important than ever before.

Because many people today are not emotionally weak.
They are emotionally overloaded.

We conduct mental wellness and emotional wellbeing workshops for corporates, schools, students, and parents to help build healthier communication, emotional resilience, and emotionally safer environments.

If your organization, institution, or parent community would like to collaborate for awareness sessions and workshops, we would be glad to connect.

“Many children are scared of their parents’ reaction more than their own problems.”

That’s the reality in many homes today.

A child scores less marks and worries more about telling parents than the marks themselves.

A child makes a mistakes and immediately thinks, “How will my parents react?”

A child feels stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, confused, but stays silent because they fear being judged, compared, shouted at, or misunderstood.

And slowly, communication at home becomes:
“Did you study?”
“What marks did you get?”
“Why are you always on your phone?”

…instead of, “Are you okay?”

At Ananya - A Foundation for Happiness, founded by Dr. Sneha Rao, we strongly believe children don’t just need guidance and discipline. They also need emotional safety.

Because when children feel safe emotionally, they open up before problems become emotional struggles.

We conduct mental wellness and emotional wellbeing workshops for schools, students, and parents to help build healthier communication and emotionally safer spaces for children.

If your school would like to collaborate, we would be glad to connect.

“Working mothers are expected to work like they don’t have children…and parent like they don’t have careers.”

And somehow, society has normalized this.

A mother finishes a stressful meeting…then switches instantly into caregiving mode.

No pause.
No emotional recovery.
No space to fall apart.

She remembers deadlines.
PTMs.
Doctor appointments.
Groceries.
Birthdays.
Office targets.

And while everyone appreciates how “strong” she is, very few notice how emotionally exhausted she has become.

The uncomfortable truth?

Many working mothers have not felt mentally rested in years.

At Ananya - A Foundation for Happiness, founded by Dr. Sneha Rao, we believe workplace wellbeing conversations need to go beyond productivity and performance.

Because behind many high-performing employees are people silently carrying emotional overload every single day.

And sometimes, the people asking for the least help are the ones needing it the most.

If your organization would like to conduct mental wellness and emotional wellbeing sessions for ‘mom’ employees, we would be glad to collaborate.

A few years ago, children would come home and ask parents questions.

Today, they ask AI.

Homework help? AI.
Writing assistance? AI.
Career guidance? AI.
Even emotional conversations… AI.

And honestly, technology evolving isn’t the problem.

The real question is:
“Children today know how to use AI… but do they know how to handle emotions?”

Because while we are raising a generation that is becoming digitally intelligent faster than ever before, many children are silently struggling with:
- anxiety
- fear of failure
- loneliness
- comparison
- emotional overwhelm
- inability to express feelings
- dependency on validation

A child today may know how to write the perfect AI prompt……but may not know how to process rejection, disappointment, or self-doubt.

That should concern all of us.

Schools are preparing students for careers of the future.
But are we equally preparing them for the emotional realities of the future?

In a world driven by technology, emotional intelligence may become the most important human skill.

At Ananya - A Foundation for Happiness, under the vision of Dr. Sneha Rao, we are working with schools, colleges, and institutions to create emotionally healthier environments for young minds through mental wellness awareness sessions, emotional resilience workshops, and meaningful conversations that students genuinely relate to.

Because education should not only create achievers.
It should also create emotionally strong human beings.

If you are a school, college, or institution that believes emotional wellbeing deserves a place alongside academics and technology, we would love to collaborate.

Motherhood doesn’t come with a manual.

It comes with a heart that feels everything—deeply, endlessly, silently.

A few years ago, life changed in ways I wasn’t prepared for. And in the midst of that, one question stayed with me.

“Can this pain be transformed into something that protects another child… another mother?”

That question became purpose.

Just a couple of months later, Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness was born.

Not out of strength, but out of love.

A quiet promise to create spaces where children feel heard, where they don’t have to hide their fears, and where asking for help feels okay.

Because no mother should have to wonder what her child is going through.
And no child should feel like they have to go through it alone.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, this feels even more personal.

To every mother reading this, no matter where you are in the world.

If this resonates with you in any way, I’d truly love to hear from you.

Your thoughts, your stories, your silences too.

Feel free to share in the comments or reach out to me directly.

Sometimes, just knowing we’re not alone can make all the difference. 🤍

Why do so many schools hesitate to host mental wellness workshops?

Often, it comes from a place of concern.

“What if we open up something we can’t handle?”
“What if it makes students more anxious?”
Or simply, “Are they too young for this?”

But here’s the reality.

Students are already carrying stress, pressure, and questions they don’t always know how to express.

Studies show that nearly 50% of mental health conditions begin before the age of 14, and academic stress continues to be one of the biggest contributors to anxiety among students in India.

At Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness, we create safe spaces.

Spaces where students begin to talk.
Where stigma slowly fades.
Where seeking help starts to feel normal.

And something shifts.

Students feel lighter, more aware, more in control.

Not just emotionally, but even academically, because a calmer mind learns better, focuses deeper, and performs stronger.

Mental wellness isn’t a distraction from education. It’s what strengthens it.

April holds a deeper meaning for us at Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness. It’s a time that reminds us why conversations around mental health cannot wait, and why every space that opens up to these conversations truly matters.

This April, at INHS Sandhani, that meaning found purpose.
Sessions led by Dr. Dr. Sneha Rao brought together students and parents from KV and NCS Schools through “You Are Precious”, and officers through “How to Cope with Stress.”

What stood out wasn’t just participation, but presence.
Honest reflections. Real conversations. A willingness to listen and to be heard.

INHS Sandhani’s belief in curing with care and healing with compassion resonates deeply with our mission to reduce stigma around mental health and gently encourage individuals to seek help when they need it.

We extend our sincere gratitude to: RAdm K M Adhikari, Command Medical Officer, WNC, Commodore Jagannath, Senior Officer, Karanja, Surg Capt Tarun Parekh, CO, Hospital Sandhani, And all officers, sailors, and participants who made these sessions so meaningful.

If you feel your students, parents, or teams could benefit from such conversations, you can reach out to us or fill the form—we’d be glad to connect: https://forms.gle/T9kcenn5514oPZEe9

For Navy professionals, resilience isn’t a choice, it’s a way of life.

Discipline, composure, and endurance are expected every single day. But even the strongest minds carry unseen stress.

At INS Kattabomman, our Mental Health Resilience Program, led by Dr. Sneha Rao created space to talk about the human side behind the uniform.

In high-pressure environments, prolonged stress and emotional strain don’t just stay at work, they show up as fatigue, burnout, anxiety, and disconnection over time.

“Courage isn’t just about holding it together. Sometimes, it’s about letting it out.”

At Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness, this understanding shapes our work, creating spaces where emotional wellbeing is acknowledged, not overlooked.

If you’d like us to conduct a similar session for your teams, you can reach out or fill the form, we’d be glad to connect: https://forms.gle/AGEjd25uPwY6zALr6

At National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bengaluru (NIMHANS), engaging with PhD scholars was a reminder that data tells us what, but stories tell us why.

Globally, 1 in 8 people live with a mental health condition (World Health Organization -WHO), 2024), yet so many journeys remain unseen.

Dr. Sneha Rao shared insights rooted not just in knowledge, but in experience; something that continues to shape the work at Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness.

“In research, we seek answers. In stories, we find connection.”

If you’d like to create more such meaningful exchanges, we’re always open to collaborating.

At National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bengaluru, learning goes beyond textbooks.

When Dr. Sneha Rao stood before students of su***de prevention, she didn’t just speak, she shared parts of her life that are never easy to revisit.

Because sometimes, the most powerful learning comes from lived experience.

India records over 1.7 lakh su***de deaths annually (National Crime Records Bureau NCRB 2023), and behind each number is a story that deserved to be heard sooner.

At Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness, this belief drives everything we do - creating spaces where stories can heal, connect, and maybe even save a life.

If conversations like these feel important to you, we’d be glad to take them forward together.
