We all look for that one place. The one that holds us closest to the abode of God. Call it peace, grace and any other name of love.

Despite all of my love for literature, fondness for analytical explanations, inferences and the juicy joy of science in spirituality, the most effortless language is that of Music.

In that, if you are lucky to find an instrument like Sitar (for me) or for that matter flute or any thing that can talk instead of you, and you become immersed in it, you have met an eternal love story of your life.

It just stays with you.

You will feel like you are going to fail because there are so many billion dollar worth business owners with huge team and customer base.

But remember, every new idea or method started with that one person believing in it.

And that is the creator of the method.

This is actually my class notes!
After a point, in music, especially instruments like Sitar (perhaps also for wind instruments) book notes can’t capture the progress or the lessons.

Hence, the video notes.

There is a reason I share this today with you all.
I am also someone who has standards of how I show up, how impeccable and finished and structured the presence has to be. And there is SOO much of hard work and so many mistakes behind the scenes to get to a stage where you will witness a put together piece. Or even a video.
People generally notice the end product. Great. But behind that the path is not polished. It is always full of mistakes. It has to be.
The fact that I am posting a raw video of my class where I have made mistakes and then being corrected by my Guruji is precious to me. And absolutely no shame. And the same I want to apply in our lives and everyday showing up.

We aren’t finished products. We are always work in progress. It is good to remind ourselves whenever we go down that rabbit hole of perfection, may this serve as a lesson that ‘to perfect something or to be close to making something easy and effortless, one has to go through mistakes’

Btw, so proud of myself 🤌 that I came to this milestone where I could just play whatever my Guruji asked me as a composition. That in itself is a Huge Progress. Iykyk 🧿🙏🔱

Why do so many modern healing and coaching modalities feel shallow, even when the intentions are good?

Because modern culture has become uncomfortable with depth.
We touch one layer of something and quickly assume we understand the whole.
Information is mistaken for embodiment.
Visibility is mistaken for mastery.
A few experiences are mistaken for wisdom.

But anything truly transformative demands years of relationship with nuance.

Indian Classical Music teaches this beautifully.
For example, if I were to take the sitar as an example, before music can flow, first comes learning how to simply hold the instrument. Then understanding the notes on the fretboard. Then training the fingers through pain, repetition, and resilience. Then ear training to merge with the tanpura. Then taal. Then laya. Then emotional precision. Then the intelligence of timing, silence, and restraint.

Years of Riyaz before depth even begins to reveal itself.

And this applies equally to healing, coaching, spirituality, relationships, leadership, and self mastery.

Human beings are layered.
Trauma is layered.
Consciousness is layered.
Transformation is layered.

So when someone rushes to become an “expert” without years of observation, practice, nervous system refinement, humility, and lived integration, the work often remains at the surface level.

Depth cannot be downloaded quickly.
Wisdom cannot be fast tracked.
Integrity cannot be performed.

Anything sacred asks for devotion, patience, and the willingness to keep going deeper beyond the first layer. 🤍

Raag Yaman has always felt to me like a doorway into softness, depth, longing, and the divine. A reminder that true mastery is not born only from discipline or strategy, but from the courage to dissolve into something greater than yourself.

Even in my work, the strength of structure comes from surrender.
The wisdom of strategy comes from silence.
The power of healing comes from wholeness.

Because life was never meant to be lived in fragments. It was meant to be experienced as an integrated, breathing, sacred whole.

A small Shiva offering through sound. 🤍

Sometimes the path is not about doing something new, but about returning to the same practice again and again.
The same note. The same breath. The same mantra.

But each time, your awareness is different.
Your listening deepens.
Your experience expands.

This is the sacred art of going deep — where repetition stops being repetition and becomes revelation.
