Domino’s doesn’t give free dip with every order.
But in healthcare?
Apparently, I must give free consultation inside the scan room—
or I’m “arrogant.”

A husband barges in while I’m examining another patient.
I ask him to step out.
Next thing? 1 star —because pati parmeshwar was “disrespected.”

I don’t store injections in my clinic—1 star.
I follow protocol and store them—still 1 star.

I recommend a better specialist for a second opinion—1 star.
I refer for a scan at night for safety—1 star (because I referred).
I diagnose based on clinical judgement without unnecessary tests—1 star (because I didn’t scan).

Not once was my diagnosis wrong.
Not once was my treatment .

So what exactly is the right way?

Somewhere between
doing too much and doing too little,
being strict and being “nice,”
being ethical and being “pleasing”…

Ratings get decided.

Should I worry about myself…
or the system that rewards convenience over correctness?

**I sat back to analyse my 1⭐ reviews.
Not to react—but to truly reflect.**

To understand…
what I could have done differently.

As I read through them,
I began to notice a pattern.

Often, it wasn’t just one review—
but one from the husband,
then the wife,
then sometimes other family members.

The same experience,
seen through different emotions.

And I paused to think…
maybe this is not just about medicine.

Maybe it’s also about expectations,
fear,
confusion,
and how healthcare is perceived.

A patient expects a quick word during a scan—
when I choose to keep that space focused,
it may come across as being distant or “arrogant.”

A husband walks in while I’m examining another patient.
When I ask him to step out,
it may feel like disrespect.

When I don’t keep injections—
it may feel like lack of readiness.
When I do—
it may raise doubts.

When I suggest a second opinion,
or refer for a scan at night for safety,
it may feel unnecessary or worrying.

When reports are said to be “normal,”
but I still prescribe treatment based on clinical judgement,
it can feel confusing—
*“If everything is normal, why medicines?”*

Even a small moment—
like sharing a light laugh during consultation—
can sometimes be misunderstood.

And through all of this, I reminded myself—

**Not once was my diagnosis wrong.
Not once was my treatment compromised.**

Medicine is not just science.
It is also trust, communication, and perception.

And sometimes,
even when the intention is right,
the experience may not feel right.

So this is not a moment of defensiveness.
It’s a moment of awareness.

To explain better.
To communicate more.
To bridge that gap.

**But also—to stay firm where it matters.**

**Medicine is a service—
but not at the cost of ethics.**

**If doing the right thing sometimes feels uncomfortable,
or even earns a 1⭐…
I’ll still choose it. Every single time .
