Siddha Clinical Research Unit (SCRU), Ribandar, Goa, under the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), organised a Free Siddha Medical Camp in association with Popular English High School, Velha Goa, on 23rd August 2026.

The camp provided an opportunity for the local community to learn about and benefit from the Siddha System of Medicine. Around 75 members availed themselves of the services provided during the camp.

๐ŸŒฟ CCRS SIDDHA SCHOOL CONNECT PROGRAMME โ€“ AUGUST 2026 ๐ŸŒฟ

Siddha Clinical Research Unit (SCRU), Ribandar, Goa, under the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), successfully organised the CCRS Siddha School Connect Programme in three schools across Goa during August 2026.

The programme aimed to introduce school students to the Siddha System of Medicine, Siddha principles of healthy living, preventive healthcare and Yoga, while creating awareness about the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices from a young age. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

Academic Visit by Government Siddha Medical College, Chennai to SRRI, Puducherry

The students from Government Siddha Medical College (GSMC), Chennai, visited the Siddha Regional Research Institute (SRRI), Puducherry under the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India on 27 August 2026, providing an enriching academic and clinical exposure to the faculty and students.

The visit was coordinated by Dr. P. Sugumaran and Dr. Malathi, faculty members of Government Siddha Medical College, Chennai. A total of 60 students participated in the academic visit and benefitted from the sessions.

As part of the visit, Dr. P. Thenmozhi, Research Officer (S), SRRI, Puducherry, delivered an informative presentation on SRRI and its various activities. The session covered the functioning of the Outpatient Department (OPD), Inpatient Department (IPD), ongoing research and project activities, Pharmacovigilance activities, and the practical application of Siddha medicine in clinical and research settings.

Dr. P. Sathiyarajeswaran, Assistant Director (S), In-charge, SRRI, Puducherry, conducted an interactive session with the students and faculty. He addressed their queries and provided valuable insights into research fundamentals, research methodology, analytical studies, clinical research, and various aspects of Siddha research.

The academic interaction provided the students with valuable exposure to the integration of clinical services, research, project activities, and pharmacovigilance in the field of Siddha medicine.

We express our sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. N. J. Muthukumar, Director General, Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), for his constant encouragement and support in promoting academic and research-oriented activities.
