Public awareness post : 50 yr female with severe Osteoarthritis Both knee with varus deformity presented with pain,difficulty in walking, waddling gait almost tired of conservative treatment
As advised by her in-law and elders that after knee surgery she will not be able to even walk and her condition may even deteriorate more.😮😔..
After long discussion and counselling she got ready
With many odd things in mind with apprehension and social stigma..get ready for my suggestion..and her life changed in just one 1month
Pain OFF and Confidence ON…😍😎💐..
MESSAGE: Although approx 80% of OA knee can be managed by many conservative means and life style modification with good quadriceps exercise but when indicated after failed conservative treatment, surgery should be offered for improvement in quality of life .
Now she is my Knee surgery ambassador..happy to help in improving people quality of life but still long way to go and fight with social stigma..💐🙏
