Parents: Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji (6th Guru) and Mata Nanaki Ji

Martyrdom: November 24, 1675, in Delhi
Contributions:
Defense of religious freedom: He stood up against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's forced conversions of Hindus.
Martyrdom: Gave his life in Delhi to protect the Kashmiri Pandits and their right to practice their religion.
Teachings: Emphasized living a life of courage, humility, and spirituality.
Writings: His hymns are included in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, reflecting themes of detachment, human dignity, and truth.
Legacy:
He laid down the foundation for his son, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, to formalize the Khalsa.
Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib (Delhi) marks the place of his martyrdom, and Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib marks where his body was cremated.
