September is celebrated as PAIN AWARENESS MONTH
If we are to make a Pain Free Hospital, I strongly believe that our nurses are the backbone. They are the people who often first identify patients in pain and trigger the necessary protocols to ensure timely management of pain.
Last week was celebrated as PAIN AWARENESS WEEK at Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka. There were games, gifts and a lot of fun learning about various aspects of pain monitoring and pain management. We got incredible participation from all the nursing staff at our hospital!
The week-long learning has left our dear nurses brimming with new knowledge about cancer, chronic and post surgical pain, and has motivated them to contribute more towards making Manipal Hospitals Pain Free!

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is being celebrated on the 9th of October this year. The theme for this year is "Equity in access to Palliative Care: Leave no one behind " .
What a wonderful collaboration to make that happen!
