Here’s what helped me build a better muscle-mind connection:
1. Slow every rep down. Control the movement instead of rushing it. Pause briefly at the point of maximum contraction, then return slowly.
2. Imagine your muscle is a rubber band. As you shorten it, it contracts. As you lengthen it, it relaxes. This simple visualization makes it much easier to understand what the muscle should be doing.
3. Tap the muscle you’re trying to work. Do it yourself or ask your training partner. That physical cue helps your brain recognize where the effort should be.
Don’t expect it to happen overnight, muscle-mind connection is a skill, and like every skill, it gets better with practice :)
