Balancing OPDs and complex surgeries is one of the most demanding challenges a neurosurgeon faces. The transition from high-volume, fast-paced patient consultations to hours of intense, microscopic precision in the OR requires strict cognitive shifting and meticulous time management.

What is your take on the most efficient ways of juggling between the two?

Comments and suggestions are invited....

☀️World Brain Day is observed globally on July 22, championing the theme “Brain Health: Access for All” this year.

🎇Initiated by the World Federation of Neurology (WFN), the campaign urgently advocates against global disparities in neurological care.

🚨Equity in neurological care is now a fundamental human right, irrespective of geography.

💐Early diagnosis and timely surgical intervention as in brain tumours, epilepsy, stroke disorders improves overall patient outcomes, quality of life and survival rates.

🏵️Prevention starts in daily life through adequate diet, proper exercise, lifestyle choices, etc.

🚨This 8 yr old child presented to us in ER after RTA in a semicomatose state with a GCS response of M5 and was intubated.NCCT Head was done urgently which revealed a large left frontoparietal Extradural Hemorrhage with mass effect.

🎇Without losing much precious time,me and my team immediately took him up for emergency craniotomy and evacuation of the hematoma.

💐Post operatively, the child regained full consciousness ,was extubated
and did so well that he was discharged within the next 3-4 days.

"Time is Brain" is the dictum we follow in Neurosurgery.

8th June: WORLD BRAIN TUMOUR DAY

🎇Recent breakthroughs in brain tumor surgery prioritize maximum tumor removal while strictly preserving neurological function.

💐Key advancements include the use of GPS-like intraoperative MRI based neuronavigation, AI-assisted robotic precision, and real-time tumor-glowing dyes.

🎉These technologies significantly enhance patient safety, reduce recovery times, and allow neurosurgeons to treat previously inaccessible areas.

🏵️World Head Injury Awareness Day, observed annually on March 20th, serves as a critical global initiative to enhance public education regarding the prevention of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs).

☀️ The observance emphasizes the early recognition of clinical symptoms and the promotion of comprehensive support systems for survivors.

💐By advocating for stringent safety protocols—such as the consistent use of helmets and seat belts—this initiative aims to mitigate the incidence of TBIs, which remain a primary contributor to global long-term disability.

🎇Modern Neurosurgical practice offers timely interventions to mitigate the risk to life arising out of Head injuries-EDH,SDH,Contusions,Depressed skull fractures.

Do consult your nearest Neurosurgeon in case of RTA/head injury.

Celebrating strong minds and the women who inspire us!

On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, Artemis Hospitals hosted an Interactive Brain Health Session on Sunday, 8th March 2026 at the Auditorium, Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram.

Led by Dr. Anuvrat Sinha, the session moved beyond clinical talk. It was a day of real stories and simple, daily habits to keep our minds sharp and resilient. We didn't just share medical advice; we built a community rooted in care and connection.

Sharing the video for public awareness.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

🏵️Recently got the privilege to present my perspective on the topic "Brain Health" in an interactive session held at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram on the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8th,2026).

💐Addressing the audience, mostly comprising senior citizens, women and veterans from different walks of life was really an enlightening and enriching experience for me.

🪔We discussed on the ways to improve upon overall cognitive, motor and emotional functions of the brain, addressing the challenges to brain health and the neurosurgical aspects of the management of various CNS disorders.

Really grateful for the opportunity!🙏💐🎊

🎇NOT ALL CASES OF CHRONIC SDH CAN BE TREATED WITH BURR HOLES!

🚨 For patients with complex, multilayered multiseptated massive chronic SDH with midline shift ,a Decompressive Craniectomy is often the best approach.

🪔It allows removal of the liquefied hematoma and membranes, thereby reducing the mass effect and risk of recurrence to some extent.

🎈Burr hole evacuation alone risks rebleeding through those membranes, which can result in post op extradural/subdural hematoma formations.
