But HbA1c is actually a marker of something much deeper — Glycation.

🍬 Glycation happens when excess glucose sticks to proteins inside the body. One such protein is Hemoglobin, which forms HbA1c. But hemoglobin is not the only protein get affected due to glycation.

Over time, sugar can attach to proteins throughout the body and form harmful compounds called Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs).

⚠️ These AGEs can damage and stiffen important proteins, contributing to:
