Third generation of professionaly qualified traditional ayurvedic doctors who dedicated their lives for preservation of ancient science of ayurveda through practice and research incorporating innovations in diagnosis and treatment runs this decade old hospital. We specialise in treatments of musculoskeletal systems which includes treatment of spinal disorders (like cervical spondylosis , lumbar spondylosis, sciatica, disc degeneration, disc prolapse, disc extrusion) and joint diseases ( various types of arthritis and rheumatic ailments.) Treatments for skin diseases like psoroasis , dermatitis, eczema is our another speciality. Other treatments include treatments for fever, cough , asthma , diabetes and gynecological disorders.

🫚 Inji Curry — Equal to 101 Curries?

That tiny spoonful of Puli Inji sitting quietly on the Sadya leaf may look insignificant…

But traditional wisdom gives it a surprisingly important place.

There’s an old saying:

“If there is inji curry on the leaf, it is equal to having 101 curries.”

Not because ginger literally replaces 101 dishes — but because a small quantity of a potent preparation can have a significant role in the meal.

🫚 Why ginger?

Ayurvedic texts describe Ārdraka (fresh ginger) with properties such as Dīpana and Rucya — supporting appetite and digestive capacity.

The traditional practice of taking ginger with a little salt before or along with food reflects this idea:

🔥 Agni Dīpana — supporting digestive fire
👅 Rucya — enhancing taste and appetite
🌿 Pachana — supporting the processing of food

And Puli Inji isn’t just ginger.

Ginger + tamarind + jaggery + mustard + fenugreek + other spices

create a preparation with different Rasa, Guṇa, Vīrya and Vipāka — and the way these ingredients are combined and cooked becomes part of the story.

🌿 And why only a little?

Because Ayurveda repeatedly emphasizes Mātrā — appropriate quantity.

A potent preparation doesn’t need to be eaten by the bowlful.

Sometimes, a little is precisely the point.

And this is where the wisdom of Sadya becomes fascinating:

The intelligence of a Sadya isn’t only in how many dishes are served, but in how each preparation has its own place, quantity and purpose.

So… is Puli Inji really worth “101 curries”?

Maybe not mathematically. 😄

But as a tiny, intensely flavoured Ayurvedic-inspired preparation that brings taste, contrast and a traditional digestive perspective to a feast…

It certainly earns its place on the leaf. 🌿

What if the secret of Sadya is not just WHAT we eat… but HOW it is prepared?

Ayurveda has a beautiful concept called Saṃskāra — the transformation that happens to a substance through processing.

A vegetable is not the same after it is washed, cut, soaked, boiled, ground, tempered and combined with other ingredients.

✨ Water changes.
🔥 Fire transforms.
🥣 Churning changes the form.
🌿 Tempering adds aroma and character.
⏳ Time changes the qualities.
🌍 Place influences the food culture.
