IVF cost is not just the cost of a procedure. It is the cost of an entire journey.

Many people wonder why IVF involves multiple steps and expenses. The reason is that every stage requires precision, planning, and expertise.

From personalised stimulation and regular monitoring to egg retrieval, fertilisation, embryo development, transfer, advanced laboratory support, and specialist care-each step plays an important role in giving a cycle the best possible chance.

IVF is a carefully coordinated process where science, technology, and experience come together.

Understanding what goes behind the cost can help you make informed decisions about your fertility journey.

Obesity in men can affect more than overall health — it may also impact fertility.

Excess body weight can influence testosterone levels, s***m count, s***m movement, and s***m quality, which may make conception more difficult.

The positive side? Gradual lifestyle changes, healthier weight management, better sleep, regular physical activity, and improved nutrition can support both general and reproductive health.

If you’re planning for pregnancy and concerned about fertility, a proper evaluation can help identify the factors affecting your chances and guide the next steps.

AMH. AFC. PCOS. These are terms many women see in fertility reports-but they don’t all mean the same thing.

AMH gives an estimate of ovarian reserve, or roughly how many eggs may remain.

AFC is the number of small follicles seen on an ultrasound and gives another clue about ovarian reserve and expected response to fertility treatment.

PCOS is a hormonal and metabolic condition that may affect ovulation, menstrual cycles, and fertility.

The important part?
None of these should be interpreted in isolation.

A low AMH does not automatically mean pregnancy is impossible. A high AFC does not always mean better fertility. And PCOS cannot be diagnosed from one report alone.

Your age, symptoms, scan findings, hormone levels, menstrual history, and overall fertility profile all matter.

Reports give information. The right interpretation gives direction.

Millions of s***m begin the journey, while typically only one egg is released during ovulation. But when it comes to pregnancy, numbers alone don’t tell the whole story.

Successful conception depends on several factors working together-s***m health, egg quality, regular ovulation, the right timing, age, healthy fallopian tubes, and the uterine environment.

That’s why having a good s***m count or regular periods alone cannot guarantee pregnancy.

Fertility is a journey involving both partners, and sometimes understanding how that journey works is the first step toward identifying what may be affecting conception.

Know the journey. Understand your fertility.

Can zero s***m count be treated?

Seeing “zero s***m” on a semen analysis can feel overwhelming, but it does not automatically mean there are no options.

This condition is called azoos***mia, and understanding the cause is the most important first step.

🔹 Obstructive Azoos***mia: S***m may be produced, but a blockage prevents it from reaching the semen.

🔹 Non-Obstructive Azoos***mia: There is reduced or absent s***m production within the te**es.

Evaluation may include repeat semen testing, clinical examination, hormone tests and, when indicated, genetic testing and imaging.

Depending on the cause, treatment options can differ significantly. Some men may benefit from treating an underlying condition, while others may be candidates for surgical s***m retrieval and assisted reproductive techniques such as ICSI.

⚠️ Don’t lose valuable time on unproven remedies. Azoos***mia needs proper diagnosis before treatment decisions are made.

Planning to start your IVF journey? One common mistake is rushing into treatment without first looking at your overall reproductive health. 🧬

IVF outcomes can be influenced by several factors, including egg quality, s***m health, age, underlying medical conditions, lifestyle, and the individual treatment plan.

Before beginning a cycle, a proper fertility evaluation can help identify factors that may need attention and allow your specialist to personalize the approach for you.

IVF isn’t just about starting sooner-it’s about starting with the right plan. 🌱

Consult a fertility specialist to understand what preparation may be appropriate for your individual journey.

Your thyroid reports are normal-but does that mean you can stop your medication?

Not necessarily.

If your thyroid levels are within the normal range while taking medication, it often means your treatment is working. Stopping it without medical advice may cause your hormone levels to become imbalanced again.

This can affect your energy, weight, menstrual cycles and, in some cases, fertility.

If you're planning a pregnancy or already pregnant, maintaining appropriate thyroid hormone levels becomes especially important for both maternal health and fetal development.

Your medication dose may sometimes need to be adjusted or discontinued-but that decision should be made by your doctor based on your blood tests, medical history and underlying thyroid condition.

Normal reports don't always mean “stop the medicine.” They may mean the medicine is doing its job.

Always speak to your doctor before changing or stopping thyroid medication.
