The Dynamic Condylar Screw (DCS) may not be the trendiest implant today, but it still knows how to do the job.
In subtrochanteric fractures, where forces are brutal and reduction matters more than fashion, a well-placed 95° DCS can still deliver rock-solid fixation and reliable union.
Intramedullary nails may dominate the current era, but the truth remains:
“It’s not always the implant, it’s the reduction.”
Respect the biology.
Respect the mechanics.
And the DCS will still hold its ground. 💪🦴
