Do you ever feel hungry soon after eating, or maybe just not completely satisfied when you’re done with a meal? It can happen for so many reasons, but these are the 5 most common ones.♥️👇🏽
1. You’re healing from restriction (dieting, disordered eating, under-eating, over-exercising). This puts your body in an energy deficit that takes time to restore. You’ll feel a lack of satisfaction for a while as your body regains the energy it needs to function. The answer is to eat more 🙏🏻
2. You filled up on “air foods” (like veggies, high-fiber foods, etc). These foods can fill your stomach without giving you adequate calories (energy!). So your body will ask for more. The answer is less “air foods”, and more foods that provide energy.
3. You skimped on carbohydrates. Without carbs, the hunger hormones and neurotransmitters that signal fullness won’t be activated. Your body needs carbs to feel satisfied!
4. You didn’t eat what you actually wanted. This can result in both not eating enough, but also not eating to a point of satisfaction.
5. You didn’t eat enough earlier in the day. A very common one! You may feel like you ate “enough” at that specific meal, but if your body is still undernourished from the whole day…you’ll need more 🙏🏻
Do any of these resonate? Have you experienced this?♥️
