Memory trick: Venous Delivery from the placenta
Sends oxygenated blood from the umbilical vein → right atrium, skipping the liver
If it stays open: Patent Ductus Venosus toxic buildup in the bloodstream ←

✌️Foramen Ovale

Memory trick: Ovale = Opening between atria
Blood flows right atrium bypassing the lungs ← left atrium,
If it stays open: Patent Foramen Ovale = mixing of oxygenated + deoxygenated blood

🎯Ductus Arteriosus
Memory trick: Deoxygenated blood carried Away
Shunts blood from pulmonary artery → aorta, avoiding the lungs
