It was a fine evening during diwali time ...4 usually we would be more alert and available any time during this festival time since we anticipate emergency .. a 15 year school girl was brought by their family in a private ambulance , with burns ..they rushed to my clinic since there it was nearby.. when I received her , it was almost 30% burns ... though it was very crucial to be treated in small clinic , I initially started her with fluids and antibiotics and was about to refer her to higher center ...but the parents were requesting me to get treatment here itself.. I explained all the consequences of burns and the severity of its degree with picture.. but they were in emotional state they were not ready to take her here and there that too a girl child with wound in private parts too they were hesitant to take to other hospital ... but I couldnot convince them futher.. I requested them to take her twice a day to clinic for fluid and dressing... without fail..
They took her ..literally they carried her since she could even dress properly... after 10 days of complete treatment she got cure and yet I advised her to continue tablets and ors.. her skin was better.. the very next month the family came with teary eyes her mother , told it was rebirth to her daughter and after a long time she slept peacefully that night❤️🧡 feeling grateful that i been In a position that one have their peaceful sleep 🙏💥🧿

One fine evening, I was rushing to clinic ..it's quite a bit late ..I got a call from sister that a lady had been shivering and itvwas an emergency .... I came within few minutes and I attended her first.. she was dumb and her husband accompanied her.. they were about 50 years of age... she had been trembling with fever and chills and she can't explain her symptoms..her husband were telling me through gesture.... I admitted her for infusion and he husband was carrying her to bed and yeah she could walk yet ... when I started giving iv, her husband went out ..and I was puzzled...and I asked him why he went out while he could stand beside her.. his reply made me feel emotional... he said he can't see her screaming for injection pain but she has to get cured ...
To my surprise he added she was dumb after a surgery , not by birth.. after which she could not tell anything to him.. he alone understanding her gestures and her thoughts and while she fell sick she would cook special meals for her morning , afnun , and eve and would place it in a separate bowl and asked his neighbour to feed her and to take care of her till he return from work.. I was very moved by his words , that gentle man futher said that if she hesitated to eat he will feed himwould take her to my clinic so that she could feel safe that nothing will happen to her...
He waited till drips was over... in between she vomited too.. he himself took care of that and make clear of all sludges and asked me to give very powerful medicine so that fever stop immediately..so that he can see her smile😍❤️🧡 I told fever would stop for sure but I couldnot resist my questions to the man ... I asked how many children do u have ? He replied we have no children and I am taking care of her like my kid .. in the era where our arguments are unheard, our speeches are misunderstood and our patience are tested there are still true souls who are truly made for each other🧡❤️💕😍

It was one of the evening in one of my rural postings.... a pregnant mother came with decreased fetal movements and as a protocol we have to do all routine examination... but it was an hypertension complicating pregnancy... at times we have been single doctor single staff with no helpers around we have to manage all types of emergencies ... with available resources which could be quite challenging ... a mother with poor family background , with two small kids in hand..everyone were wandering in hospital campus... no one is aware that their mother is utmost danger everyone is happily awaiting their sibling.... no time for emotional breakdown at the time for us..
Me and staff rushed to make her bp normal... all sorts of resuscitation done at our maximum limits and called for 108..which took almost 1 hour for us to reach the hospital...
Coz still there are places in our own state where everything is not reachable, and staff gathered all instruments along with her accompanied her in 108...the poor children Eagerly asking me when would her sibling born... I just told them pray to God that evrything has to be fine... they very sincerely prayed god vinayaka which is present in the campus.. the small girl smiled at me and said "enga amma va kaapathikingla ...enaku kutty thambi vandhuruvan "" .. I just smiled at her and me too left it to god...
One week later the small girl came to op, with her dad and they said evrything was ok.. both mother and baby stable and he cried if something could occurred who will take care of those time kids and thanked our team and gave sweets... it was the very first time the sweet tasted really sweet ... 💕😍❤️

Success story

This happened not in clinic but in one of my rural areas where I got posted few years ago... a young girl came with tiredness and no fever .. ... to op ... i have checked her bp and it was low ... but in the rural set up that too in a hectic fever season , overcrowded patiens about 200 to 250 patients per day as load , we had no cell counter for blood investigations...that's the condition of many rural helath services prevailing... something bothering me and I asked her mother and requested her if she could go to medical college via 108 so that her child needs complete blood investigation and admission to rule out all causes.. she was not prepared for that... I administered her iv fluids yet my mind was not satisfied and I pleaded her again for the admission... sometimes in service, u have to argue and plead for the welfare of the patients to their own family ..

After long argument she agreed and I sent her through 108 , to medical college ... there she was diagnosed to be dengue hemorrhagic fever with platelet count of just 80000....she was on intensive care unit and she developed rashes also the very next day ... after a week of intense medical care and treatment she was discharged after 10 days once the platelets are normal... the very next day the mother of the child visited me with bowl of fruits and told that the doctors in medical college said that the girl had been brought at the correct time to right place if it was late they would have lost the child...that brought tears to her eyes... she hold my hands and said thank you forbeing my saviour... and that day I could value the true meaning of gratitude ... and I just told her to take care of her ... sometimes in this profession u have to argue for the life of others just for making ur soul satisfied and nothing else matters 🧿♥️🧡🤌

Success story series...

One month ago , a middle aged lady came to clinic , for body pain ..she was restless, amd was too much upset and she was continually talking about the pain... I thought the problem was not physical pain alone but something else was bothering her.. she never made eye contact with me... but when I ask her to make eye contact with me, she broke down with tears... I didn't even asked what happened..
The very next moment she was explaining the train of events , that happened to her.. I noticed her left hand it had some intentional cuts wounds..I enquired her whther she had any suicidal thoughts... she obliged and she said multiple times she had tried many methods... I was very shocked and asked.. her medical history .. every month she had been on admission for some cause like tried to drink Harpic once, then drank all out , then one time tried Ant killer powder.. all these happened since last year.. I asked her son to meet me.. he came and he made fun at her and he said that she gone mad and she would blackmail the whole family each time... he said engaluku palagiduchu and made a laugh..
For the very first time I got too much anger and said are u her son or someone else ? And I called his husband and counselled him that she needed some kind of peace and therapy... and I explained the risk of being neglected by her own family.. and I warned him if she visits me again with same complaint I would file a case over him..

To my surprise the very next week the lady visited along with his husband and son and told she is happy now and they are going for a trip.. and she was dolled up and she dressed up well.. I could see real happiness in her eyes.. sometimes therapy is not medicine alone 😇💥🧡❤️

Success story series...
It was a year ago , when a couple came to clinic , and the 28 years old woman had complaints of fever and chronic cough and she said she had allergic asthma... I enquired her history ... and her husband was mocking at her due to her stature and she was worried about it.. actually I got to see her photo with her permission in her phone which was taken 6 months ago , I was guessing something is bothering regarding her weight loss.. I ordered her some tests ...that includes xray chest and sputum .. for tb... her husband started fighting with me and argued that we came for just cough and cold but u are giving unnecessary tests for ur bills..like that..
I am very sure at my point that I suspect her to have tuberculosis... they went after fighting with me.. I even told them that u can take that test in gh if u feel that m ordering for my benefit.. they agreed to go gh...
I got a call the very next day that her result was 2+ in sputum .... and she was having tb infection.. they started her on ATT. The sad part is that they are having a baby which too would have got exposed to that and they started prophylaxis for the whole contacts of family ...
One month later they visited me in clinic wearing masks, but their eyes showed the pain and guilt .. I just asked them how is life ? They broke down and said , " we are sorry " and if the tablet was not started that time they told it would have been led to devastation of whole family including the baby..." I just smiled and thanked god... Sometimes god will choose u to make changes in someone's life at right time ❤️🧡🤌💥

Day 5 of success story series...

A 45 year old man attended clinic alone with complaints of giddiness and vomiting ... I checked bp pulse ... evrything was ok... saturation too normal... but he was not comfortable at rest... he is a diabetic too .... he came directly from his work without even telling to anyone in his house... he was lying in bed with some sort of discomfort...
I detailed about his history and I was very sure he need immediate investigations... I doubted it could be inferior wall mi , but I don have ecg to get diagnosed.. But without attenders we can't refer the patient.. I called her family..his only son who was just 17 years old picked up the call... I said just for scan we have to go to higher center immediately coz they may get panic.. he came 15 min later.. then we called 108 and reffered as MI..

From the triage I got a call , that he has changes in ecg and it is inferior wall mi and since diabetic he was not having any sort of typical pain.. Immediately he was thrombolysed and was in icu, after reverting MI he was shifted to ward.. Only then the family knows he had an heart attack.. Patient was fine thereafter and discharged in two days..
The wife , and his only son came for follow up after two days.. She was in tears and she said he had habit of smoking and drinking , but after this much of medical problem he left that habit suddenly. She said it was his chronic behaviour due to which frequent family issues would happen.. Now they are happy that he realised his habits and got lnto healthy lifestyle.. I felt happy for them 💓

Day 4 ... of success story series... a 42 year old man attended clinic for abdominal pain ... as per procedure , I enquired history and examined him... he was comfortable and pain was very mild... he said he need injection and medicine alone... I found something in his abdomen.. and it was found to be a indirect hernia.. I warned the effects of the hernia and explained the consequences of its obstruction or strangulation... I told him beforehand that if another episode of pain persits he can better
Go to higher center directly and he needs an immediate surgery if it goes for obstruction.

One week later his sister came to clinic just to meet me...she told the day before he had severe pain over abdomen, he asked to call 108 immediately in midnight and he himself explained the reason for pain to the team and his family ..he said , my doctor told to undergo surgery for this pain .. he was aware of his condition and they immediately taken to gh , there emergency ultrasound done ..it was found to be a obstruction and impending strangulation hernia... He was immediately taken for surgery and was on complete medical supervision... he was about to discharge the next day..
The sister was so thankful and she said if u have not explained the consequences we would have gone mad, where to go and would have landed up in trouble... she said his brother was her only support after the demise of the parents...when she said that tears rolled down in her eyes.

Sometimes life gives u chance to take care of urself , so that u can take care of loved ones.. feeling blessed...

Day 3 of success story series.. may be an emotional ...
A couple 69 years old man and 60 years old lady used to attend my clinic often... that old lady is suffering from uterine cancer advanced stage.. I usually don charge any amount from them eveytime.. they will come to see pressure and for pain... they will have their injections and would share their family stories..and will leave... That one day , the old lady came to me and said, my pain is intolerable.. I said the pain would be there since she is in fourth stage.. I asked her to take injection but she said about mental pain rather than physical pain... she said if she dies soon, who will take care of her husband that too he s a diabetic patient... No one was there for the couple to support. She said to me if something happens to her, be a daughter to her husband and continue ur treatment and whenever they feel sad they will come to my clinic just to hear my words and see my face.. I was so astonished by the talk of her... I said nothing will happen stay strong..
Two days later that old man alone came to clinic amd said, " amma vilundhutanga, hip bome fracture , she couldnot walk or stand but asked me to visit u and get tablets " like that.. I prescribed ointment and pain killers.. he went... one week later , the old lady has expired .. I found a poster in front of my clinic and the old man came for getting death certificate... he was not crying I asked ungaluku kastama irukatha... after she passed away...he said , it is better for her to die tha by tolerating that much of pain , staying for me , I can't see her suffering.. I was not supposed to become emotional In my field but I was in tears that day.. then he said at the death ved the lady said , " by saying my name ..en ponnu kita ponga she will guide u " he said and I signed her death certificate..he left..
Two weeks later the same old man visited clinic and said now he was physically ok but he was going to his daughter's home..because he could not manage daily works.. I said wherever u go my prayers for u ... then I came to know one week later he also died... may be due to MI.... I was very sad but our profession has no emotional stikers..I should move on ...

Sometimes life teaches us nothing is permanent also true love always find its way 😇

Success story series ...day 2
Once a 50 years old lady was brought to hospital by their relatives saying she had fainted in farm while work .., after which she was scared , didn't eat from morning .. I checked her vitals and everything was normal .. but she had a small bulge in her arm.. they said they had taken her to local medical there, and they given drips...so the swelling... something was bothering me... and I asked her history directly to her.. she said while she was working in farm something she saw afte which she fainted.. People around made comments that it was a ghost or muni god that she saw... I asked staff and checked her bedside clotting time.... As I guessed it was not clotted .. more than 20 min... swelling kept on increasing... and I enquired her urine output.. even after drips she had not passed urine.. .. I called 108 and explained and showed the sample to relatives and they understood the seriousness... later I catherised the patient .. and reffered to medical college.. there she was taken directly to icu , she had been under observation.. had 22 vials of anti snake venom, was about to go to ventilator.. after 15 days she was safely discharged from hospital...

The very next day , the son came with happy tears and thanked me and added he was from poor village, he had lost his dad at young age.. his mother was his only support... without spending any single rupee, he had saved his mother's life.. . I could see what real wealth is that day through his words 🧡❤️😇 feeling blessed 🧿

Success story series .... day 1
Once a young lady came with severe abdominal pain to the clinic evening, she was managing her pain with smiles, but pain was intense ... I asked her menstrual history... she told it was normal ... that was her first day of her cycle, she told that was not tolerable as before... I enquired about her family planning history .. and asked to take pregcard test... she done and was found to be weak positive.. then an ultrasound abdomen was reffered immediately ... she was very hesitant to do because she argued that she only need pain killer for pain and not investigations... but my intuition was so strong to get her scan done .. with my own arrangement have referred to ultrasound and it was found to be 8 weeks of unruptured ectopic pregnancy .... I immediately called her husband and they were not ready first to hear this emergency but after explaining they understood the consequences.. I called for 108 and immediately reffered to government medical college hospital, there they ended up with emergency laparotomy and surgery done ...
She had transfused with blood , was on icu care and was safely discharged after a week...

Today m very happy to see the whole family visiting me ❤️🧡 feeling ☺️..
